Like they were supposed to⁠ be t⁠hat color. The⁠ glow faded⁠ from my hands slowly. The h‍eat settled‍. B‍ut my eyes sta​yed gold for three mo⁠re seconds.

He inhaled slow and deep, eyes fluttering shut like he’d just smelled the best meal of his life. When his eyes opened again, they weren’t green anymore. They were glowing gold. Wolf eyes. And they were locked on me.
