Bunny had asked with a fake pout. “Anything you make for us will be perfect.” Ty had told her as they all came together in a hug as they so often did. “Kiss ass.” Jaxon teased as their woman settled between the two of them. Leaving the tests on the counter, she walked out to the closet and found herself a casual outfit of dark magenta capri pants and a short sleeve blouse with geometric designs in black, white and bright turquoise.

When the invitation said to dress as a fictional character, Jessica Rabbit was not what he expected. His own James Bond tuxedo paled in comparison next to her.

The two golden doors at the end of the hallway held two more guards, who also bowed. I saw the hundreds of guests in the massive room. Some were talking, some were clinking their glasses and drinking. We were the last to arrive. I didn’t see any other carriages behind us. Eyes flocked to us as we walked. They looked at Cassiel first, then at me with narrowed, curious eyes. Regina was mingling with some people, mostly women. She wore no mask, dressed in the biggest purple gown I’d ever seen, adorned with diamonds and other jewels. She was practically sparkling. It was her party, and she was the star. I heard pieces of her conversation the closer we got.

It makes her happy, so I was okay with it being my favorite for today. Kelly looks like me—tall and skinny with red hair and dark blue eyes. Except, she has the most adorable freckles. She had on her favorite pink butterfly shirt, jean shorts, and her favorite light-up Hello Kitty shoes. For accessories, she had on a beaded necklace that she made in preschool. To finish off the look, she had to have her favorite purple triceratops named Bunny.
