But I hope it shows you how sorry I am—and how much I want to be better for you.” He handed her a small envelope. “This one’s from me,” he said quietly. Elena opened it, her hands trembling. Inside was a letter in Elliot’s neat handwriting, detailing his feelings, his regrets, and his hopes for their future. The letter spoke of his struggles during high school—the pressure to fit in, the fear of being vulnerable, and the misplaced anger that he had directed at her. He admitted

"I messed up. You're better than this. Just let me go!" Eric yanked her back a step, pale and wrecked. "Lena, I screwed up." I stepped out of the elevator, baby bump out, Shelby and my legal team right behind me. Briana lost it. "Lena, I swear I've changed! I'm begging you!" I stopped. Looked down at both of them. Zero sympathy. "Briana, I'm not a rehab center." Calm. Cold. She stepped closer, jaw tight. "We've paid enough. I got kicked out, Eric too. We're broke. What else do you want?"

Not only did he specially design a hellish training regimen just for me, but he personally took charge of teaching me how to eliminate these thoughts. During those dark nights, Alfred would press himself against me while constantly cursing at me. I scoffed looking at his scrawny writing which I badly wished looked like his face, maybe I would have given in to death instead of marrying him. The letter, penned by a certain someone, expresses his deepest regrets and remorse for the argument they had. The words on the page are filled with love, sincerity, and a genuine desire to make things right. In the letter, my husband acknowledged his mistakes and took full responsibility for his actions. He explained how much I meant to him and how deeply sorry he was for any pain he may have caused. He poured his heart out, expressing his love and commitment to our relationship, emphasizing that he never wanted to let me down again.

I can't seem to forget all the passionate nights we've shared… The disgust was too much for Freya to handle that she immediately stopped reading the long, infuriating letter and squeezed it into a ball, tossing it carelessly across the room. The nerve of him to write her such a letter! He really thought she would melt on reading his callous and narcissistic letter. For a moment, she wondered what was going through his mind when he wrote that letter and carefully wrapped the present to give to her. Didn't he feel ashamed?

Misty’s voice broke. “Seven generations!” Payne bellowed. His face flushed crimson, veins bulging in his temple. “Old money. Old fucking money. Do you even understand what that means? My father, and his father before him, passing down blood, sweat, legacy! And you—you signed it all away to this bastard!” Misty’s lips trembled. She turned slowly to Ross, horror dawning. “It was you,” she whispered. “You’re the one who sent the document…”

I said truthfully as I felt my heart aching. "If I can turn back time, I will never let her go, Mr. Lemiere. I was a fool to do that.. and I really regret it." I said and he gestured me to go. "Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to talk, Mr. Lemiere." I said and I looked at my letter crunching it into a ball. I walked towards the door and looked at Matthew once again before going out. "I just want you to.. be happy, Athena." I said and I threw the letter to the trash can.

I know this is just a letter you’ll never see, but I need your approval. As I sat in front of the typewriter, I took a moment to reflect on the letter I had been writing. I stopped typing and read it through from beginning to end. It was a recount of my life story, and as I read, I felt a sense of sadness wash over me. Most of the content was quite gloomy and unfortunate, narrating the loss of my family and the struggles I faced in the years that followed.
