I narrowed my eyes at him, "Stop," My smile faded when I witnessed his dark smile. He shook his head, "You shouldn't do this. We are going to give them an heir," He said, intensely.

I looked at the photos, at the pearls around my neck that I had bought to celebrate my victory. "Sebastien didn't just lose," I whispered, the realization hitting me like a physical blow. "He just changed the game. He isn't trying to take Félix anymore. He's trying to take the one thing I thought was mine: my identity." Dominic reached for me, but I stepped back. The crown felt heavy. The throne felt cold. And as the sun hit the blue rock Félix had found in the garden, I realized that the execution hadn't even reached the final act.

He looked up at Sebastian, his voice cold. "I never imagined that the great General Sebastian—covered in glory—would have such a secret history. Conspiring with enemy rebels. She earned her place with blood!"

Snarling, upper lips lifted, showing growing canines, shifting from one foot to the other while claws grew, and some even let their beast’s eyes take over entirely. I took a trembling step back and swallowed hard, but Seb just chuckled, and I finally understood that he was crazy. Not only missing his social skills and the knowledge of how to talk to a female, but he was also missing some screws and brain cells too.
