Otherwise, how could a land animal possibly have reached twenty meters in height before mutating? Venus had mentioned the fifty-meter gorilla-like monster that previously appeared at the Aegis Military Base. With that image already planted in his mind, Ray found the remains in the photo vaguely ape-like as well. Holy hell. So the previous one had only been… a baby?
