"Stay calm. Let her speak first." Romulus snorted, his snout wrinkling. "I don't know. She's so tiny. Can't be her." Remus ignored him, leaping closer, his gaze raking over me like he was peeling back my skin. Romulus lumbered after, nearly crashing into him. "Wow," Romulus said, sniffing the air. "She smells delicious." Remus swatted him with a paw, a growl in his throat. "All you think about is food. Don't eat her, you idiot."

It hit like a tidal wave, dragging me under all over again. I forced myself to stand, weak and shivering. As I turned toward the mirror, something caught my eye, just for a moment. My wolf was there, but not like any I’d ever seen, she was massive, jet black, darker than night, darker than death itself. Her eyes burned like fire, vivid orange flames dancing in a soulless void. I screamed and stumbled backward, crashing to the floor, my heart pounding like war drums. When I dared to look again, she was gone. Only my own reflection stared back, shaken. What are you? I thought, clutching my chest.

And that’s true because, Remus is having none of that, he grips my chin harshly, not liking that I want to change the topic. Remus is Rome’s soul, but he’s always been the most untamed of the two. They are like two different people in one, even though it probably shouldn’t be so. Remus is the uncut version of Rome; he is intense and a whole new vibe that you don’t want to mess with or get untangled with.

Remus said in a flat tone. "And..who is this? a girl my adorable nephew bring here?” Rene asked folding her arms in front of her chest. “This is Bella…my wife…my mate,” Remus said. All this time Bella only looked down. She knew herself…that the adorable woman in front of her was a member of the Black family. "Are you kidding me?" replied Rene laughing, she watched Bella from top to bottom. "What do you think?" Rene walked around, her face is observing Bella's downcast figure.

A month after my remains were discarded, an old woman found my bones. When the police rushed to the scene, they were shocked by what they saw. The forensic expert, Dr. John had a grim expression as he examined the scene. Then, he said solemnly, "The victim appears to be a female between the ages of 15 and 20. She seemed to have died about a month ago. "The bones here are from the skull and legs, so this might be one of the several crime scenes. The bones have been subjected to intense trauma, and the whitened bones were not naturally decomposed. Rather, the killer likely used a small knife to strip the flesh.

Remus, a descendant of a long line of alphas, held a leadership position for a reason. Henrì lunged at him, claws and fangs poised for attack, his deeply rooted rage granting him a surge of strength. Yet, it was not enough to match that of an alpha. “No, no!” I wailed. My heart was breaking. Remus’s fangs sank deep into Henrì’s neck. Weakened and defenceless, Henrì still fought to stand, struggling against the remnants of his fading life. “Remus, please,” I begged from the floor, my voice laced with anguish.

He smiled happily and nodded. "Yes and they are marked like their hair. Remus is a large black dire with white tips and Rae is a lovely white with black tips on her fur, they're both stunning," he told me impressed. "I'll have them change so you can see them," he added. I nodded, happy for my two children. Lennex sat next to me and lifted me to his lap. I laid against his shoulder and he wrapped his arms around me. We sat together and watched as the children went to the back of the couch to undress. When the first wolf pup trotted out from behind the couch I gasped.

I wanted to throw something. The reminder was almost too much. And I thought I was over him. “It’s important a sub’s hair is out of the way in case it becomes trapped for any reason. A single plait is the norm here at ‘Remus’. Will you demonstrate, pet?” I knew he was addressing me but pretended otherwise. “Master gave you a command, sub.” There was no way I would ever defy Oscar. His black tee showed off his enormous chest and he had intricate tats on one arm.

I whimper as I try to stand to my feet, the pain in my leg is intense. Remus circles me like prey. He has this savage look in his eyes that has me petrified. I hear a loud cry that calls both our attention over to Jax, who is now standing over Bret’s dead body. Remus growls, visibly angry at the loss of his Beta and best friend. Within seconds, Jax is in front of me. “Mine,” his animalistic growl vibrates through the air.

The Remus Pack was here. I gave a sigh which told the other two that I was annoyed. "They shouldn't be here," I got to my feet and smelled the wind. Of course they were. The Remus Pack was so nosy that sometimes I could rip all of their throats out just for being such a pest. Blake was amused. "To what do we owe the pleasure of their visit tonight?" His hair had fallen back onto his forehead, giving him the impression of a bad boy, while his eyes started to glow faintly.
