Renting Audiobooks From Library Novels & Stories

Grant had that effect, the ability to poison even the calmest mornings. Blocking his new number crossed my mind, but I didn’t bother. He’d only find another way, a text, an email, a voicemail pretending to be about Oliver. Grant was persistent like that. I decided to breathe. To distract myself. So I called Julien. “Good morning,” I said softly. “I’d like to return the books I borrowed… and maybe pick a few more?” He laughed warmly through the phone. “I won’t be home, dear, but go ahead. You know the library’s always open for you.”

I giggle After breakfast, Kendra decides to go to the library to read some books, she has always been an avid lover of books and often reads books when she has to clear her mind from reality. Since I was the only one at home, I decide to binge-watch any movie I could find on my laptop. I heard a loud knock on the apartment door and I realized I had fallen asleep while binge-watching a movie. I looked through the eye hole and see a frustrated Kendra with a bag of only God knows what “Kendra what's wrong” is the first thing I utter while opening the door and helping her with her bag “I got kicked out of the library for laughing too hard, common the book was funny” she exasperated

I winced, I had missed my next class,” I walked to a librarian and asked, “Excuse me. Did anyone check out a book recently?” She adjusted her glasses and shot me a cold look. “No one has checked out a book in weeks now. You kids are all occupied with your phones. This is a library but all they do here is use the WiFi. It is exhausting watching you abuse-” I took quiet steps away from her as she went further with her complaints. “Someone took it,” I said with conviction. But who?

Under the September sun, in front of Anna’s house, with him leaning casually on his bike, looking like a bad boy straight out of a teen romance movie. But I didn’t want to be insincere about how I felt. “I don’t want anyone else,” I said, my voice husky, holding eye contact with his intense gaze. *** “And keep these books here,” I pointed out to Caleb, who followed me to the back room of the library with stacks of books in his arms. It smelled like old books, worn out pages with a hint of musk. Since it was Saturday, people were huddled in the corners, queuing up at the reception to borrow books and running their hands through the cracked spines of various books.

ISLA'S POV Wednesday. 9:47 AM. The second floor of the Astoria Public Library smells like industrial lemon disinfectant fighting a losing war against the scent of decaying paperbacks. I find a computer bank near the back, tucked away from the children's section where a toddler is currently screaming. I plug in my headphones—cheap, wired earbuds I bought at the bodega for $3.99 because my wireless ones died and I can't afford the electricity to charge them, let alone a replacement.

she asked opening her eyes and running her eyes over and over again through the library. "I have no idea where to start," she said again. "Let's start there" Kieran said pointing to what looked like a front desk. "Hello welcome to the international bookstore Library" Another peppy girl said. Arabella thought about how smart the owners or the place were. The girls at each station somehow made the ambience better than it should have felt. "Hello" Arabella said. "How can I help you?" "What services do you offer?" "You can rent books to read and return them after your time elapses like a normal Library. We also offer in-read services" the girl explained.

With not having a man in my life I have had a lot of spare time. I work in a local nursing home as an aide during the night. I make sure the residents are happy feed and healthy. Since I work nights and they sleep for the most part I have free time. I read or listen to books. A lot. And I have a specific taste in the choice of novels I enjoy, Romance and the dirtier and more fantasy they are the better. I may have spent over four hundred dollars on a pay for reading app within the last six months and in the last year listened to 98 Audible books totaling over 34,697 minutes of romance, 14,151 minutes of fantasy and sci-fi and 9,336 minutes of fictions. Currently expressing my innermost desir

She leaned closer, scanning the options. Most of them were small community libraries — the kind with limited collections and more children’s books than anything remotely academic. Probably not the kind of place that would carry records about ancient words or forgotten dialects. Her finger moved across the screen as she scrolled down the list. “Hmm…” Then, one name caught her attention. >The Aurelion Grand Archive — < Her thumb hovered over the screen for a moment before she tapped the listing. The information page expanded immediately. Pictures loaded first. Her eyes widened slightly.

Rachel asked and closed the locker door shut quickly before any book decided that it did not want to squeeze in with the others. Audrey curled a strand on her finger before she pulled herself away from the wall and walked alongside her best friend who was a business administration student in the same university as her. “I went to the Book Café to pick up some books and enjoy a mug of my favorite Black Beauty," Audrey replied. "Wow, that’s amazing ! But I missed it," Rachel pouted. "It wasn't all that amazing !" Audrey muttered under her breath and Rachel clearly heard it. "Why, what happened ?" Rachel asked intrigued.

No more rushing I hope! **You must remove the book from your library and re-add it to see the changes of which there are many! If you added this book before 12/16/21 you'll need to delete it and re-add. You will NOT lose the chapters you paid for. Thank you for understanding and please enjoy!** ~Saree Bee
