Reverse Falls Mabel Novels & Stories

⸻ That Night In bed, wrapped in soft sheets and half-asleep limbs, Elena whispered into the dark: “I submitted a new series to the gallery.” Adrian’s voice was low. “Yeah?” “They want to feature it. In a permanent collection.” He smiled in the dark. “Proud of you.” “There’s more.” She hesitated. Then: “I named the series Falling Between Us.” Adrian turned toward her, fully awake now. “And why that?” “Because everything we thought was a fall…” she whispered, “turned out to be a way forward.” He kissed her forehead.

What wish would possibly fix this shit heap? “I – I wish that Rose was never born a Fallen.” I said, hoping I don’t regret this decision. “Hmm. Interesting choice. Very well.” Gabriel said before clapping dramatically. I felt my body free fall, and everything turned black.

"Alright, you got me , My notifications to their family channels is still activated" "What?! I thought you unfollowed them?!" "I did , but I left the notification on!" She said. "And why would you do that?!" "I can't just be in the dark Michelle! I need something to feed my eyes on" "It's been fourteen years Mabel ! If you don't want to go back there then you have to move on!" "Maybe I don't!" Mabel said as she stood up and walked forward slowly. "Wait, wait what are you talking about?!" Michelle asked standing up also.

Stepped into the trap. Now I just had to survive it. The elevator descended, carrying me back to ground level. Back to reality. Except reality had just shifted into something I didn’t recognize. And there was no going back.

The room erupted in shock as soon as the words were out of Reuben's mouth. Then, there was a loud crash—Mom had collapsed on the floor. The wail of an ambulance siren wound around the high-rise buildings. Reuben got in with the medical personnel while the Gray family members sent off the guests and reporters. Marcus stood alone, his eyes bloodshot and wide with shock. Beside him, Janae seemed frightened by his reaction. She shook his arm and asked, "Mr. Gray, what's wrong? Don't scare me!"

There was laughter, bad dancing, and the promise of a peaceful weekend. Until Mabel arrived. The elevator doors opened like the gates of trouble, and out stepped Mabel du Prée: head wrapped in black silk, pearls that could deflect bullets, and a smile that knew something the rest of the room didn’t. “Oh, Lord,” Marvella muttered under her breath. “Here come the national anthem of bad timing.” Ruth leaned toward Abigail. “That’s the aunt?” “The one who thinks the devil just misunderstood,” Abigail whispered. Mabel’s heels clicked across the marble like punctuation marks. “Ladies! Don’t stop on my account. I just came to bring a little family flavor to the festivities.”

"Anyway, he seemed more interested in the show of the pole dance girls, especially Mabel. I pointed to the dancer who had just gotten up, turning around the tables that formed small shells with their high benches, and throwing goodbye kisses to us. Dennis jumped so fast from his place that even I got dizzy. Zachary, on the other hand, still looked at me with extreme care. I had two miserable seconds watching how quickly your eyes passed from the photo to my face, before a weight hit my shoulder and my arms stretched in reflection to trim Kendall's fall. My friend fell against the counter, and in the process clung to the loose pendant of my clover necklace, almost stealing my air with an acci

“Alright, Mabel. Your turn.” Mabel's face tightens as she places her hands flat on the table, drawing in a sharp breath. “Well, while everyone’s pretending this is some sort of happy event, I’m not. I know you're doing this to hurt Mike, Desiree. You can fool everyone else, but not me. Caspian may not see it now, but I do. And I want you to think long and hard about whether this is really worth it. It’s not too late to call this off and end this madness. Mike’s moved on, Desiree. You should too. End this before you regret it.” The table is silent, everyone waiting for my reaction. I simply smile, my voice steady and unbothered. “Thank you, Mabel. And Mike? Do you have something to add?”

I didn't have a room. "Skylar!" Hearing his voice had my heart racing with fear, I walked down the stairs to meet him in the hallway. There was a door under the stairs, probably to the basement which is where they made me sleep last time. My step-father stood there with the door open. Suddenly he shoved me and I slipped, falling down each step. Rolo barked and growled at him, earning a kick for himself before he too got locked in the basement with me. I swear I heard him lock it with a key. There were three lights down here, they were fairly dim, the floor had been carpeted thankfully, a single mattress lay in one corner of the room no bedframe, a dog bed next to it with the dogs food and wa

The people in it were clearly Josh and Whitney. Whitney wiped her tears, confidence returning to her face. "Josh, if you take one more step, I'll send this to Yvette. Tell me, after she finds out about your little stand-in game, do you think she'll still stay with you?" Josh staggered back, disbelief written all over his face, veins standing out along his neck. He lunged for her phone, but stumbled and fell hard onto the sand. The others, sensing things were going wrong, rushed to persuade him.
