She rubs her eyes with the back of her hands and takes a few seconds to make her vision focus on the image of two humans in front of you, a male and a female. "Ah, so final

Emma later went upstairs to her brother's room. James' room was filled with things that he had insisted on carrying from Mina's place. He adores his things and wishes to take them with him wherever he goes. Emma faked a gasp seeing the room. On the bed, the blankets were covered by plushies and coloring books while color packs were laid on the nightstand unevenly. Mina had spoiled him a lot. Emma began to organize her brother's belongings. She placed the plushies on the bed, and neatly stacked the coloring books and packs on the nightstand. When she finished, she stood back and felt a warm wave of nostalgia wash over her.

Albeit, slowly, it didn’t even make a single sound. My mind instantly trailed back to the book I had previously read in the pack library. ‘There are 4 Reavers that rule the Underworld.’ Raphael was one of the names in the book. I was snapped from my thoughts when I looked up and found myself face to face with an eerily gorgeous man.

“You’re right, I’m not sorry about what happened to them, but I am sorry it left you all alone. At least I had my brother and Haldir. I can’t imagine what it must have been like for you; I’m sorry for that. I wish you could have come with us.” He lifted his head, and his nose brushed against her cheek. “I could not protect people who so easily killed the love of my life. I regret nothing.” He shook his head as Tessa bit her lip and blinked away the tears of regret for things she had no control of. “Nothing.” Fanning her face as she tried to bring herself back from the spell Rafik had her under, she sighed and nodded towards the book. “So! What comes first?” He took her hand in his and steppe

He heard the sounds of movement coming from the open doorway of the library and he headed there. A mountain of books covered the table, and a few had even slid to the floor. It was as though someone had gone out of their way to leave a mess for Maggie to deal with when she returned. No way could anyone possibly use that many books in one day. Standifer and Hemphill, he guessed. He knew they always tried to give her a hard time.

My heart slammed hard in my chest and I blinked my eyes rapidly. I jumped as my phone vibrated and my eyes widen knowing that they must have heard the sound from my phone. "Shit," I cussed and began to walk fast only for my hair to be pulled back and my back slammed to the wall. I gasped, struggling to get air into my lungs as strong hands wrapped around my neck. Liam scoffed, standing next to James who still had me pinned to the wall. "I should have known it was you, snicking around and trying to find every ones fucking secret." He sneered and I closed my eyes and opened them back.

“Until you let me change that ring for a diamond one.” I stared at him blankly. One person started laughing, and then more and more people joined in. It was pretty clear to everyone else but me what he was talking about. “An engagement ring, Elodie.” Jax said each word slowly, his eyes never leaving my face. “Or a wedding band.” ***The End of book 1!! Book 2 and Dion and Lola's story is up next ***

The papers were covered in Roxy's neat, yet hurried, scribbles. Each page was dedicated to a specific supernatural species, with titles like "Reaver", "Vampire", "Werewolf", "Cryomancer", and "Witch" heading each section. Beneath these titles, Roxy had jotted down notes, presumably extracted from my book. “This book has a lot of history in it, and a lot of different species' history as well. I didn't want to keep your book forever, so I’m making my own book. My own supernatural compilation.” Her matter-of-fact tone couldn't disguise the pride shining in her eyes, and I could tell she was thrilled with her project.

Roman I had been watching my former friends' movements and I was ready to strike, I couldn't believe how quickly they were taking everything back from me. They were dead, I killed them and now that bitch Addison double-crossed us and made sure they would come back. I told Erik years ago, that we should have killed her instead of forcing her to work with us, now look, he is dead, and I am losing the Kingdom I have worked so hard to build over the years. I will get it back and I will make Aidan and the others pay with their life and this time, stay dead. Sheila made us hybrids and once we have the book, she can reverse the Supremes spell and make us all immortal. Sheila is a weird one but she

Al finally spoke, "And she is no longer just a wolf—" "You," the man growled, glaring at Al then back at Amber, "You brought a vampire into my realm... And not just any vampire... Alrick," Veering around, Amber and Al were still on their knees, not meeting my eyes. Alrick? That's his full name, but he shortensed it to Al, why? "Kill him," Robert looked over his shoulder, "No!" I screamed out, "Do you know who he is? Did he tell you? About his father—"
