Anahita Waterwolf POV We waterwolves have resettled on the banks of the Dream River that runs through the place once known as the Barren. Though to use the word 'barren' in relation to this magnificent place feels ridiculous. Many mornings I sit on the balcony of the packhouse, before the pack stirs, gazing out at the churning, roiling, foaming waves of the river, its banks densely packed with rich, dark mud. The colours of the river at dawn--blue, mauve, purple, indigo, green--remind me of the lifestone and that night when the poison was driven out. The lifestone disappeared, it's work done. And Silvia's iron--the physical iron anyway--was also gone.

This little shit. "Fine. Fine." Sarreth smiles at me. "That dark blue skirt girl, let me handle the rest. For now, you need to focus, Celare. We are not in Silvania. We are not human but a bunch of monster. I hope you understand my point." I nodded. Of course, I understand.

He murmured, shutting his eyes painfully. "Oh fuck my Ill luck," He seemed to be experiencing the same thing too. "What's happening? What have you done?" Shirley asked, her heart racing even as she felt a strong urge to just place her fingers on the stranger's plump lips and feel it. Hell… "That's a question best directed to the mother goddess" He Said, his voice hoarse but resolute. "What does the creator have to do with this? What was that reaction?" Why was her heart beating this fast?

We all just waited for her to return from whatever they were discussing. Aimee POV Ash had grabbed me away from the conversation the second she heard Alester’s name. “Aimee, Alester is the reason the last blue moon pair were killed.” She said. “We know what he has planned. We must finish the mating process tonight. Only then he can’t take us away or mate us. Our power will surpass his and he won’t be able to touch us.” She said hastily. My eyes went wide and a blush crept up my face.

The testing facility would be searched, the test subjects discovered, and Mercile Industries would be exposed for all the dirty secrets they hid from the world. She crouched over 416. His beautiful but angry dark gaze focused on her. Rage burned in his intense glare. She swallowed the bile that rose at what she had to do to him next. “I’m sorry. Really. I have to do this to you.” “I’ll kill you,” he rasped. One hand flopped on the floor next to her. “I swear this!” His throat worked. “I will kill you with my bare hands.”

The priceless diamond ring slipped from Barrett's fingers, bouncing sharply against the cold marble floor. The joyful atmosphere in the cathedral froze instantly. The guests' whispers died out as every eye locked onto the groom, whose face had drained of color. Barrett's gentle façade shattered into a feral, rabid panic. He lunged forward and gripped the guard by the collar, his voice shaking. "What did you just say? Say it again!" "B-boss..." the guard stammered, paralyzed by fear. "A tsunami slammed into the island right after we dropped her off. The water swallowed everything. We couldn't get back in time."
