Lydia’s POV Rina and I sat on a long stone bench just beneath the arch of the eastern wing, a spot shaded by overhanging ivy and the slow crawl of golden sunrise. The estate had settled into quiet now, most wolves gone about their duties, the clamor from earlier fading into distant footsteps and muffled voices. It was just us, wrapped in the hush of morning, like time had slowed just to let us breathe. We’d caught up on so many things already. Rina told me all about her life back home, her job at the bookstore, the nosy manager who was always on her case, and Marcus.

But then, it vanishes, making me think I'd imagined it. Suddenly, my phone vibrates again. I peer at the new message on the screen. It says, "GET UP AND WALK OUT. NOW." Struck with a sudden urgency, I rise to my feet slowly, careful not to startle Riley. He cocks his head, and suddenly his gaze turns predatory. "Leaving already? You haven't even finished your drink," he tells me. My instincts are screaming at me now. Riley is another brand of monster. I can feel it.

I made a plan that night to end her. The next night my parents had a big important party with some of my father’s clients from work. I knew that Rose would be over. When she arrived my mother kissed my forehead and left with my father. The sun hadn’t set yet so I asked Rose to go for a walk with me. She agreed and we took off into the woods behind my house. I got ahead of her and then made her think she had lost me. While she frantically looked for me I snuck behind her. I found a large piece of wood and crept up behind her. She heard the brush below my feet break as I approached her and quickly turned around. I then unleashed the Monster inside me. It was brutal and very sloppy. I honestly

“The better prepared we are for battle, the greater the odds of our succeeding.” “You refer to the vampires as monsters when, technically, you are one as well,” Hank mused. “I am one of many things,” Jasper thoughtfully admitted. “Having spent time amongst all three of what I am, I believe that the vampire is the worst of them. Therefore, he qualifies as a monster. If I am also a monster, I pray to keep that part of me subdued until I am able to eradicate vampirism from my body.” Hank sounded impressed as he asked, “You can do that?”

All I could hope for her to be happy and never come back to this place . I got up from the park bench . The early morning sun didn't help much with the cold either. I smiled at how terrified Belle was of giving her finals . She had clung on the phone call forever to find comfort .It felt good to know that the things that scared her were as simple as that. I picked up my pace to the haunted place I was forced to call home .

“You’re a monster. Wolves kill humans. I saw my mother die at the hands of a rogue.” His jaw tightened. “And I saw my brother slaughtered by hunters. We are even, then?” The words cut deep. "Wolves are monsters, and I will die protecting humans from your lot." she offered. "You don't seem to be doing a very good job of it little hunter, offering me water."

I ask suddenly. "I'm not sure." "Could there be a lot of people? I-I don't really want people watching me as I struggle to defend myself. That can't be good for appearances." Jeremy ignores me as he catches sight of my mate. David is speaking with Tarlo, but as he sees us approaching, he pats Tarlo on the shoulder and his Beta walks off. There is a large, blue mat dragged out onto the cut grass where David is standing. A few people are scattered in the distance, talking or practicing. There is even a pair of shifted wolves sparing with each other, and my eyes fixate on them, still not used to seeing two wolves fight.

The monster landed heavily on the ground, unmoving at last. The officer let out a sigh of relief. However, in the very next second, the monster leaped up again and glowered at Ryder. Ryder gripped his rifle as spirit energy emanated off his body in waves. The monster glanced at the super cannon and let out a growl before turning to run. It leaped toward the mountain, disappearing into the trees. Ryder flung his super cannon to the side at once, charging after the monster as he shouted, "Keep my rifle safe!"

“When can you?” “Today.” She grinned and dragged me to the back. Club Royale was one of the top clubs in the city and anyone who was anyone always visited here. Neon lights flashed around as Cathy pulled me deeper into the place. I greeted her sister, Maddy, changed quickly, and before I knew it, the club was filling up. Music pulsed through the floor, lights dim and heavy. Before I started off officially, Maddy was kind enough to run me through the basic rules of the place. I needed to smile more to attract customers. Conversation worked too, and I could always call for backup if things were about to go out of hand.
