Riley spoke just as quickly and now she really did look worried that they would run but Jake knew that it had to be for different reasons. “Yeah no problem boys have either of you seen them at all since school” Ethan looked at Max and he shook his head no. Jake nodded his head making his way out of the house through the back door running at full speed as something pulled him into the forest. His mind with racing all the things that they could learn all the things that they would learn the moment that they got their hands on the Hale kids. His mind was racing so fast that he could not hear the panic thumping of his heart telling him that there was a monster nearby.

Another green tunnel. I spin the steering wheel to the left and entering the dirt path. "Turn left," she said when the road splitted into two ahead of us. About a mile later, we entering a gate with 'Riverdale' written above it. Here I thought this pack was a myth. Riverdale was a pack known producing so much white wolves in history. I knew my mate is special just from her eyes, but knowing she is from Riverdale, there must be something more. Few decades ago, there is a bad news told us about this pack being annihilated by the hunters, guess the remains moves here to hide their existence.

I collapsed from the force of it, feeling the stinging pain on my cheek. Unsatisfied, Connor was about to rush over to hit me again but was stopped by Mom. She turned to me tearfully and asked, "Why have you turned out like this, Wendy? Must you cause the entire family so much trouble?" I slowly got up and pointed to the nametag on my chest. "I'm not a Sanders—my name is Wendy Lloyd. I never asked you to look for me, nor do I have anything to do with you guys." The commotion soon attracted a crowd of onlookers, who began to comment on the scene before them.

Jasmine "We all are monsters," Rei replied. "It’s how we live another day and how we can live with ourselves when we finally sleep. You’re not unaccustomed to monsters. You’ve lived with one for most of your life.” Reinaldo laid his arm on the top of the booth behind me. “I’ve been thinking about last night.” Warmth filled my cheeks as I released the stem of my glass. “Me too.” “Now that we’ve been formally introduced, I’d like to get to know you better.”

Morien answers sadly. Ravens? the ones Miles bragged he'd slaughtered? Oh, no, they've come for him, for us. "Let them come." Miles smiles as if hearing my thoughts.

There were the usual ads for x-ray glasses and onion gum and joy buzzers and Charles Atlas, but one at the bottom caught my eye. SEA MONSTER PETS! HATCH THESE CREATURES IF YOU DARE! I’d seen ads for Sea Monkeys before, and Matt had told me they were a species of shrimp. But sea monsters? I read the fine print but the ad gave no details other than a legal-sounding paragraph about the company not being responsible for escaped creatures or any harm they inflicted. I looked at the cost, then jumped off the bed and grabbed my piggy bank from the bureau. I emptied the contents onto the bed and counted. I had enough money.

I braced for the impact— —but a roar split the night. A golden blur crashed into the Voidhollow, knocking it across the gym. The creature shrieked, slamming into the wall with bone-rattling force. I blinked through the dust. A boy stood between me and the monster—broad shoulders rising and falling, golden hair catching the moonlight. His eyes glowed molten amber, his jaw set with fierce determination. Auren Ryker Drakovar. I knew him, even though today was just my first day. Everyone talked about him, but unlike Kael and Lucien. He is a quiet one. According to what I heard, he is a Dragon Prince and heir to the throne.

Riverdale was more of a retiree home for the elderly who have worked their life off somewhere in the big cities and now seek rest. And that's where I grew up. And inevitably where I was going back to. Riverdale isn't all bad, the scenery here is beautiful and environment was nontoxic. I consoled with the thought that I needed someplace without the hustle and bustle of the city to keep me sane.
