His face was bruised red from the slamming while his nose, which looked even crooked, had a mix of blood and mucus flowing out. His body curled upon himself, his other hand nursing the twisted wrist. Most of all, tears had begun flowing from his eyes, his former cocky expression fully turned into one of pity.

I clamped down on a rogue, sinking my canines in his neck until a metallic taste of his blood filled my mouth. I dropped his dead body on the ground and spit his disgusting blood out of my mouth. I gave a thundery growl, the warriors growled in reply and went back killing the rogues with renewed strength. I continue taking down the rogues one by one. Josh was right about one thing. There was something strange and unnatural about the rogues. They didn’t have the normal red rogue eyes. Instead, their eyes were black and empty. It was completely dark, as if they had been possessed.

First blood had been drawn. Hati lunged again and ducked his head at the last moment, crashing into Onyx, and sending him sprawling as he skidded over the ground. ‘Stop messing around,’ I said to Onyx, and he laughed at me. He turned back to Hati as three rogues jumped on his back. Onyx’s head snapped around, and he killed the three rogues easily, crushing one’s skull with his paw as he stepped on his head. Hati lunged again and his teeth grazed Onyx’s cheek. Onyx growled once and I felt his whole demeanor change.
