Nivea's POV: I wake up to an empty bed with a rose and a note in keenan's spot. I pick up the rose and smell it with a smile. Grabbing the note it reads "My love, I'm sorry I couldn't see you when you woke up but I had to help dad with pack business, I'll see you tonight. I love you, Keenan."

There were so many she would have loved to read now. Rae was watching the rain fill a small hole near the caravan. The water was dark and muddy. Her cheek was so cold it was numb but she remained pressed against the glass. She became bored and lay back down. The book was open beside her. She picked it up. She noticed that Keegan wasn’t looking away from the corner of her eye and decided to meet his gaze. His expression was unreadable. She thought that she would joke about the way he was staring but the moment intensified somehow. She couldn’t understand where all the tension was coming from. Her mouth dried and she held onto the book for support.

Why is she here?” “Dunno,” Keane said finally. “Since that last nurse bitch Malorie got fired, I haven’t been able to get into student files.”

I break off, flushing with heat. His eyes darken. "Sex scene?" My throat tightens, making it impossible to swallow. "I was going to say it." He leans back, resting his hands behind his head. "I suppose your right, but don't you ever read it and want them to just get to it already, that it's obvious they want each other." "Didn't know you read romance." My accusatory tone makes him smile. The thought of Hale laying in his bed with this particular book open, reading through the graphic scene makes my toes curl.
