I didn’t see he was right behind her. “People, we are not here for that. Ms Williams or shall I say Mrs Jones, I am detective Rogers from missing persons. I just want to ask you a few questions about the disappearance of Mr Nick Jones, your husband.” Then there was that. Nick and I were still married, and the wife is always the number one suspect.

“I have men that aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty if you need the assistance. I simply want to help.” I nod, and Roger shows him to the door. As soon as he’s gone, I pour myself a generous amount of scotch. Tough kid, rough around the edges even with all his posturing in that suit and expensive haircut. Certainly somebody I’d prefer to call an ally than an enemy. When Roger returns, he immediately launches into the earful he's dying to give me. “We didn't need him to tell us it was Jack. I think it was obvious from the beginning that he’s behind this shit.”

Colin says, “ When the glamor wears off, you will find four girls playing together instead of two girls and two magical creatures.” That makes sense. It’s make believe, just on a much higher level than I am used to. “Ok, so then, what is the dragon,” I ask him, “Or should I say, who is the dragon?” “Oh right, the dragon is my buddy Roger’s dog,” Colin replies in amusement, “His name is Ron. The royals were still mingling and discussing when I finally spotted Roger. He was standing near the grand archway, speaking with another man, shaking hands. I didn’t stop to think. I ran straight into him, crashing into his chest. “Please, help me!” I gasped, gripping his arm like it was the only thing keeping me. “They’ll find me! Please!” Roger growled fiercely and drew me behind him, his hair was on end and his teeth began to elongated. I could see the signs of his transformation. “What’s going on?” he growled wildly, “Who’s after you?”

The detective gave a firm knock before entering Celine's hospital room. He had a no-nonsense air about him as he addressed us. "Mr. Hernandez, Ms. McDermott. I’m Detective Rogers, in charge of investigating the assault on Ms. Roberts. Let's get down to it - fill me in on what you know." Rogers pulled out a notebook, pen ready to jot down details. He fixed his gaze on me intently. "Ms. McDermott, walk me through your connection to the victim and how you became aware of this incident."

How do you guys know each other?” “Oh,” Roger said, smiling, “let’s just say we go way back.” “Roger is one of my oldest friends,” Caleb said. “He’s saved my life once or twice.” “More times than that,” Rogers said, laughing. Rose peeked her head out of my jacket, and Roger’s eyes lit up. “Well, hello little fella,” he said, coming over and petting her.

To his surprise, he immediately ran as fast as he can heading to his room, and locked the door. Even in this room, he could still hear the scratching of Porter’s claws in his wooden door. Roger hid inside the bed, hard to breathe and shaking. After the successful plan scaring the hell out of Roger, Porter immediately jumped to the rooftop and leave. A few minutes, Roger’s friends noticed that he didn’t come back after getting some beer. So they went and look for him. “Roger, are you there?” Gabby knocked at the door. “Roger is that you in the room?” He added after they heard some weird sounds inside.

Adira rolled her eyes but caught the bagel with ease, “Thanks.” She sat on the couch and unwrapped the foil to inspect the bagel. It was lightly toasted with cream cheese spread on one side, jam on the other, and sandwiched together. In a clearing in the woods, I saw three figures, one was on their knees, and on closer look, it looked like a man clutching at his neck which was oozing blood. My eyes were drawn to the remaining two figures. One was a smaller frame that seemed to be battling the larger one. I didn’t know what was happening, or who the good or the bad guy was. The smaller person however appeared to be holding their own. I realized it was a safe bet to assume this person was the one in danger even though it didn’t look that way. Just as I decided to help, the big guy stumbled backward and fell with a loud thud. This small fellow had managed to disperse these two huge guys all on their own. To say I was impres
