“Let me.” I nod and, with a flash, Roger transforms into his wolf, shaking his fur loose as soon as he does as if he’s been eager to do this for hours, to become the animal that’s been prowling within him, eager to protect his family, his mate, his new baby. I step back and watch Roger work as he moves slowly around the room, sniffing everything, his intensified senses picking up more of the priest’s scent than our human bodies are capable of doing. Then, when he’s ready, Roger lifts his eyes to mine and nods his snout once.

"Simply because they weren't qualified to catch me. In the Black Moon, no one could compare to me in terms of speed. Alpha had just left; they didn't have time to close the door when I entered." Roger spoke through quickly. I nod; if it were someone else, I might think they're bragging. But with Roger, I believe he can move exceptionally smoothly in a human or wolf state and be faster than humans. "It's unbelievable that someone like you can hold Diana's head and spin it around like a pitiful cricket." Roger couldn't hide his surprise. "You're more ferocious than I imagined. An angry kitten is scarier than an adult wolf."

Razer: "You can't say that. There is no evidence to prove that ghosts are transformed after death. Maybe ghosts themselves are another species independent of humans?" Franka thought about it for a moment and felt that it made sense. She nodded, then poked her head and asked in a low voice: "So, I would like to ask, Mr. Roger , how did you die?" hiss... The corners of Roger 's mouth twitched wildly. Why is this fox lady's speaking style almost the same as the angel lady from the dragon gate next door? "Senior Franka, this is very rude. Mr. Roger is the djinn and can make wishes!!"

Claws extended, I swiped at Roger, but he sidestepped and landed a solid blow to my chest. The impact sent me stumbling backward. Seizing the moment, Roger pinned me to the ground. His strength is on another whole different level entirely. "Your reign is over, Little Rascal," Roger sneered, his hot breath on my face. "The Whitewater pack will be free, and you will be the one enslaved in death." With a surge of adrenaline, I tried to break free, but Roger's grip was unyielding—his strength was overwhelming compared to mine. "You don't think you'll be able to defeat me, do you?" he asked, part of his face shifting into wolf form, just like mine.

Colin says, “ When the glamor wears off, you will find four girls playing together instead of two girls and two magical creatures.” That makes sense. It’s make believe, just on a much higher level than I am used to. “Ok, so then, what is the dragon,” I ask him, “Or should I say, who is the dragon?” “Oh right, the dragon is my buddy Roger’s dog,” Colin replies in amusement, “His name is Ron. Roger asked me if I would dog sit for him today. I did warn him that Ron might be a dragon stand-in at some point today, but Roger didn’t mind. He thinks dragons are cool, fortunately.”

“But how…” The warrior smacked his head again. “I warned you. You wouldn’t like the consequences if you fail to obey her.” “You want your mate and pups to be safe, don’t you?” another warrior remarked. Roger’s gaze moved between us and the pups. He clearly wanted to revolt, but perhaps his wolf was against it. He should know that they wouldn’t be able to overpower us. He heaved a breath as though he felt defeated. “Please… don’t hurt my babies,” he said. “They are innocent.”

“I have men that aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty if you need the assistance. I simply want to help.” I nod, and Roger shows him to the door. As soon as he’s gone, I pour myself a generous amount of scotch. Tough kid, rough around the edges even with all his posturing in that suit and expensive haircut. Certainly somebody I’d prefer to call an ally than an enemy. When Roger returns, he immediately launches into the earful he's dying to give me. “We didn't need him to tell us it was Jack. I think it was obvious from the beginning that he’s behind this shit.”

One word carved into the middle to remind anyone who was lucky enough to have a seat at the table why they were there “ROGUES” Fishtailing the tyres, I turned off the road into the car park. Rows of bikes lined up the chrome shining in the sunlight. Kicking down the stand and unzipping my leather jacket, Taking a deep breath I headed into the clubhouse knowing full well that the bomb I was about to drop was not going to be well received.

Roger tried to stand from the grass, but he stumbled. “What? No!” I mumbled. “Roger, you were abandoned because your parents deemed you an anomaly… they left you to fend for yourself and gave you up, because you manifested those recessive genes,” I said truthfully, hoping he would believe me. “Ok, let`s suspend reality for a second, and assume your words are true…” he sighed. “I am not a wolf, nor a vampire… I have never had speed, or special powers…” he sighed. “Roger, like I said, you are a rare type of supernatural, your kind is far and between…not many of you walk this universe…” I explained.

The royals were still mingling and discussing when I finally spotted Roger. He was standing near the grand archway, speaking with another man, shaking hands. I didn’t stop to think. I ran straight into him, crashing into his chest. “Please, help me!” I gasped, gripping his arm like it was the only thing keeping me. “They’ll find me! Please!” Roger growled fiercely and drew me behind him, his hair was on end and his teeth began to elongated. I could see the signs of his transformation. “What’s going on?” he growled wildly, “Who’s after you?”
