Rogue Linage Novels & Stories

Harrison offered. “Thanks, but no thanks. Being rogue suits me if you haven’t noticed. It lets me walk in and out of any pack I need to and makes it easier to blend into things when I’m around humans,” Hayden said. “Let’s go inside so I can talk to Mimi and find out everything she knows.”

“And of course, you don’t want to mark me because you don’t want to take your throne back.” “I don’t know what I want to do yet. I have no support. No army. It’s not that easy.” “What about these rogues Monty spoke about? What is a rogue anyway?” “A rogue is a packless wolf. It’s not that easy. Rogues aren’t warriors. By the time I have them trained and ready for a war, Caspian would know and we’d all be dead. Well, not you and me…we’d only wish we were dead.”

"Why would I weave a lie for you, Brooke? Do you truly believe a low-caste scout like me has the coin to buy a crown jewel?" I knew his history—or at least the version he let the world see. His mother had been a daughter of the Larson bloodline before their pack was slaughtered and their lands seized. But he had already given me an emerald band as a family relic. The idea that he had a second, even more priceless heirloom tucked away felt impossible. I began to worry he had scavenged it from a forbidden tomb or stolen it from a High Alpha’s hoard. "You don't have the coin, Logan, but you have the stealth," I countered, flinching away from his touch. "Did you steal this? If the Council finds

I cut her words in wonderment as I became interested now, “may I ask if those werewolves are like the wolves? The real wolves, I mean. The wild animals that look for their prey. Are werewolves like those wild animals? Do they have the same kind of pack too? A family that the alpha protects? The rogue you are talking about… that rogue must be really bad, that is why his alpha wanted his death. Alpha leads and secures its members, so if there is a rogue, then… then it means that one is the worst one.” “They are almost the same as the wolves you are referring to,” she gave another smile at me. “Same but different in many ways. Werewolves look like humans but can change into wolf forms while wol

“The purebloods are getting ready to pounce on you. It’s practical for you to be in a pack than be a rogue.” Lincoln dropped the million-dollar question: “And what do you want from me?” Patrina licked her lips. It was almost like she was nervous. “I can offer you shelter and protection. In exchange... …marry me and by my Alpha.”

Arthur had felt their presence like an instinct he couldn’t explain. “I… I tried to stop them.” But it had been too late. They would never abandon their comrades to their deaths. All Arthur could do was go after them and try to kill as many rogues as he could. Didn’t know how many rogues there were, but he knew that the patrol members would be in trouble. They fought fiercely, ripping and tearing through the rogues in practiced patterns. A rogue was only at an advantage against one werewolf because rogues were fierce and irrational beasts. Against teams of three, a rogue lost the advantage of being unpredictable as the three werewolves could cooperate.

She would be forced to fight, and yet not too well—because skill would draw attention, and attention meant risk. Rule Four: Bloodlines are sacred. Initiates are evaluated in part on lineage. Noble blood earns privilege. Unknowns and rogues are subject to scrutiny and testing. A pit opened in her stomach. Her true bloodline—daughter of Garrick Stormclaw—would grant her high rank instantly. But as Rian, she was a nobody. A rogue male who showed up with a forged acceptance letter and no clan ties. If anyone questioned her origins or demanded proof… She would be dragged back. And this time, her father would not lock her in a tower. He would make an example of her.

I had no idea if we would find any answers at all let alone what to expect when we got to the next pack. I tried mind linking, tried checking the bind if it was intact, it was faint but it wasn't enough reassurance. The threat posed by the rogues was greater than I had expected. It's been years since rogues had united and tried to fight but now it was different. I clenched my teeth and vowed to continue my search. Layla was out there and I could find her. I wouldn't stop even if it meant destroying the entire world. Dear Moon Goddess, keep her safe.

It may seem harsh but given all the changes I have implemented to make the pack a better pack with which people wanted to ally themselves, forcing people into the life of a rogue was a small price to pay. Being a neighbouring pack with Moon Shadow held its advantages too. I had made sure they were the first alliance I secured given that Darkness and Moon Shadow had been enemies for longer than anyone cared to remember. Though since Jayson still hasn't returned from wherever it is he has disappeared to, it was a friendship which was really beginning to struggle now.

“Have they been hiding their true nature from you all this time?” “I... I don’t understand.” “Some are bitten. They change later. Hybrids. Half human. Half beast. But you... you were born this way. You’re a Pureblood. A true Lycan. And your ichor, your blood, carries traits of a lineage I don’t even recognize. That intrigues me. Fascinates me. I thought I’d seen everything. But you… you’re different.” Everything around me started spinning. The forest, the sky, the leaves, all of it whirled. My stomach turned, my feet lost the ground. I felt like I was about to fall. To faint. To vanish inside myself.
