Rogue The Bat Novels & Stories

None dared to speak. “Next,” a gruff voice called. A hand shoved her forward. Charollet stumbled up the steps of the platform, blinking under the glare of torchlight. A hush fell over the crowd of bidders. “Lot Forty-Seven,” the announcer declared. “Nineteen years. Rogue-raised. Never shifted. Suspected human. Untouched.” A collective murmur passed through the crowd. Some scoffed. Others leaned forward in interest. Charollet kept her eyes down, jaw clenched.

He anticipated the rogue's strikes, countering with a combination of acrobatics and brute strength. At a crucial juncture, a particularly formidable rogue with a scarred face emerged as the group's apparent leader. Limuel faced off against the scarred rogue, a formidable adversary leading a group of rogues with malicious intent. The moon cast an ethereal glow upon the battleground, where the clash between the two forces unfolded. In an effort to breach Limuel's defenses, the scarred rogue used a combination of rage and desperation.

My little one who should have been alive if he were not rogue and hadn’t left without a word. “How dare you question me? It’s you who lied to me and left me. It’s you, the bastard rogue, who caused this. Why didn’t you tell me your identity? Why didn’t you stop the war? Oh. maybe you are the one who wanted this all. Did you even care about me or did you want me all tied up for you so you could use me against my father? You are the liar. You bastard rogues are all irresponsible liars.“

Rogan appeared from the side and pounced on the rogue closest to Nina. “GET YOUR DISGUSTING BEINGS AWAY FROM WHAT IS MINE!!!” Rogan screamed as he attacked the first rogue. All he had to do was send a powerful slash at the rogue with his claws and it flew back a few meters and a terrible gash had appeared on its stomach. It cried out in pain.

“Then that’s what we’ll do. When we get back to camp, if it’s still there—we’ll make a plan. A real one. Not just hiding and hoping.” “You think they’ll help us? After we left them?” “We didn’t leave them. We followed their orders.” He stood up, wincing. “But yes. I think they’ll help. Fighting the Council is what rogues do. It’s who we are.” I stood too, testing my sore shoulder. It hurt, but I could manage it. “How much farther?” “Six, maybe seven hours if we keep this pace.” He looked at the sky. “We’ll need to move carefully. Stay off the main paths. They’ll have scouts everywhere now.”

They have noticed us, and about ten crazed wolves like the ones I fought come out. They growl at us, and Brent lets me down. "Swing that bat as much as you want." In the small time since I last beat those rogues up, my energy had been restored. The doctor nods, and the rouges attack at once. I don't stop swinging my bat. Not for one second. Brent punches, slashes, and hits every rogue that comes his way. I refuse to look his way because I am both angry at him and I heard him smash one of them's heads against the wall. That's too gory for me to stomach.

The rogue trashed against Beta Rodney, and the next thing I knew he was rushing at me. His nails elongated into claws – pointy and dangerous – and they slashed the air. The first time, I docked, and he missed my face. The second time, I stepped aside, and he missed my chest. The third time, however, I wasn’t quick enough, and his claws tore into my left hand. I fell to my knees, even as blood spilled profusely. Groaning, I shot a glare to the rogue who had gone crazy, and appeared to be ready to finish me off.

Arthur had felt their presence like an instinct he couldn’t explain. “I… I tried to stop them.” But it had been too late. They would never abandon their comrades to their deaths. All Arthur could do was go after them and try to kill as many rogues as he could. Didn’t know how many rogues there were, but he knew that the patrol members would be in trouble. They fought fiercely, ripping and tearing through the rogues in practiced patterns. A rogue was only at an advantage against one werewolf because rogues were fierce and irrational beasts. Against teams of three, a rogue lost the advantage of being unpredictable as the three werewolves could cooperate.
