Then, he hit me in the chest with his fist, sending me flying into the parking lot, as I slid across the hard pavement, trying to regain consciousness. He was definitely one of The Others, rogue vamps who didn't care about human life. Having completely lost their humanity, they cared for nothing more than self gratification and the kill. The vampire must have been a rogue one. Rogue vampires are uncontrollable and stay away from clans. They do not have a conscience nor do they retain their sanity. Most of the rogues are newly turned vampires and it takes one vampire years to become civilized. Until then, they are uncultured and wild, attacking anyone who comes in their way.

It burned. Dark figures slid from the trees. Rogues. Their smell was raw — smoke, sweat, and old blood. They moved with purpose, not the aimless cruelty of thieves but the precision of soldiers. “Well, well,” one said, voice sandpaper-rough. “Look what wandered into our little trap.” “Please,” I managed. “I’m just passing through. I don’t belong here.” The rogue who’d spoken laughed, teeth sharpened to points. “Raven’s territory. That’s a dangerous road for a Crescent Moon wolf.”

Arthur had felt their presence like an instinct he couldn’t explain. “I… I tried to stop them.” But it had been too late. They would never abandon their comrades to their deaths. All Arthur could do was go after them and try to kill as many rogues as he could. Didn’t know how many rogues there were, but he knew that the patrol members would be in trouble. They fought fiercely, ripping and tearing through the rogues in practiced patterns. A rogue was only at an advantage against one werewolf because rogues were fierce and irrational beasts. Against teams of three, a rogue lost the advantage of being unpredictable as the three werewolves could cooperate.

I then pull the Rogue's face down towards the ground and it falls down with a loud cry.
