Maya's POV Cassian and I enjoyed the movie more than I expected. For a romance girlie, I didn't think that he was going to sit down with me and watch three whole movies. It was a trilogy of a romance novel, enacted into a movie. Through all three of them, he sat down next to me and watched them from beginning till the end. He didn't complain, and neither did he ask me to change the movies. In fact, after the first thirty minutes of the first one, when things started to get heated and interesting, he shifted in his chair.

He had his reasons for not watching romantic movies, including his belief that love is dumb and that love is merely a diversion from human existence.

The whole meetcute, love at first sight, enemies to lovers, fake relationships. All those cliche troupes are the best.
