“It sounds… like it should be yours, only yours. ‘Mon amour.’ My love.” I blushed, my heart pounding in my chest. “You know I don’t speak French.” He pressed a soft kiss to my forehead. “Then I will teach you… one kiss at a time.” I laughed, a trembling, delicate sound. He pulled me into his arms, holding me so close I could feel the strength of his desire, the depth of his longing that he had never released. His fingers drifted over my skin, tracing patterns I had never known I knew. Every caress was a poem. Every caress was a confession.

romance was being turned into a Victorian melodrama. ​"You can't do that!" Nora roared, reaching for the obsidian stylus. ​"I can do whatever the readers find 'Emotionally Rich'," the Co-Writer hissed. ​Suddenly, the glass doors of the lobby shattered. A new group of people stormed in—not lawyers, not guards, but The Readers. They were thousands of "Data-Projections" of people holding tablets, their faces glowing with a manic hunger for the "Love Triangle" drama. ​They began to chant: "STABLEMAN! FIANCÉ! STABLEMAN! FIANCÉ!"

Many times. " " Oh wow! So what did you write about? " Mary inquired curiously. " Well, I wrote about many things, Friendships, Fantasy, Highschool, family, and so on. " She replied. " What about Romance? " " That's one genre I had never tried Writing. " " Why? " " Well, I didn't get the idea or inspiration to write that genre then and I guess Romance needs a lot of emotions which I wasn't ready to fit in then. "

The genre for the contest is Romance and Tragedy, and so far, the only story that fitted that category is the one I'm currently writing. The deadline for this is two months from now. I looked at my story and began to calculate the days before I can finish it. Again, I was snapped out of my reverie when Xander leaned in t look at my work. His face's so close to mine that I can smell his perfume.

The kind where the tension builds until it snaps?” My cheeks went hot. He had read the blurbs or Marcus had told him, either way he knew. “Something like that,” I said. He leaned back in his chair. His eyes stayed on mine. “Tell me how you do it. How do you write desire that feels real? Do you research every scene or do you imagine it?”

The night started in the bathtub and ended in bed, where he lifted me while I grabbed my things and watched him sleep like a baby. My hands run over his face, trying to remember every inch of his beautiful face. I'm sorry. My first impression of what I wrote on this small piece of paper was horror and not a single drop of pride. Did Shakespeare also feel the heat on his face when he saw what he wrote about love?
