THE ALPHA’S UNWANTED MATE
The room was… beautiful.
Sunlight spilled through wide glass windows, falling over cream-colored walls and soft gold curtains. The air smelled faintly of jasmine and clean linen, a scent that wrapped around me like warmth itself. There was a vanity table set with brushes and powders, and dresses hung neatly on a rack near the wall.
“This isn’t my room,” I whispered, hesitant to step inside.
Jackie only smiled faintly. “No, it’s mine. And today, it’s yours to use.”
Before I could say anything else, she turned toward the door and called softly, “Evelyn!”
