She went to her seat and glanced at Alicia and Phillip who still had suspicious looks on their faces. She quickly sipped down on her coffee, avoiding eye contact with them. "Sameer will not be coming to work today." Jack said casually as he sipped his coffee. "Why?" Sabrina, Phillip and Alicia turned their heads to Jack's direction and said in unison. Jack smirked hearing how they asked him at the same time. He relaxed himself on the chair and said. "He called in sick today, so he is on leave."

His muscled arms glisten in the sunlight. My eyes dart from Jack to Kadeem and back again, my heart thundering in my chest. “Yes, I guess we are,” Jack says, rolling up his sleeves as the color drains from his face. “Hold up!” I jump in front of them both. “No one’s going to get into some Old West showdown over me! I’m dating Jack,” I yell, angrily pushing Kadeem with all my might. It doesn’t budge him an inch. “Get over it!”

Jack pecked his lips. "Then... You will be my sunflower. You know what it means? The sunflower moves where the sun goes". Daniel said in a loving tone. "Yes. I will follow you wherever you take me Hon". Jack said with his twinkling eyes. "I will always be there for you. Let’s eat breakfast and then we will go outside. Okay"? He stood up pulling Jack along. He wanted to make every day special for Jack. ---- Tabby

I checked. And then I saw him. Jace Steadman. Sitting on the large sofa with a book in hand. Glasses on. Sweater sleeves pushed up. Looking like a Christmas-themed sin. He wasn’t even pretending not to look at me this time. His eyes lifted the second I stepped inside, lingering for a beat too long, too focused — then he lowered them back to his page as if the damage wasn’t already done. My pulse tripped over itself. Lena nudged me. “Girl, relax. He’s just reading.”

Leon lowered his head and spoke in a choked voice, "I feel so awful, Xandra. When I go home, the place is empty. There are traces of you everywhere. There's the coffee machine you bought, the flowers you took care of on the balcony, and the bedding you picked out… "But now, no one uses the coffee machine. It's covered in dust. The flowers on the balcony have withered without anyone watering them. The bed feels cold, as there's only me lying there now. The scent you left behind is fading.

The preacher said other statements and some of the words did not register in my mind. "Sunshine...do you accept Alpha Jericho to be your husband?" I gulped. 'Say you don't, Sunshine. Marrying a bastard is like digging your own grave.' 'Save your fake concern, Knoxx.' "Sunshine? Are you okay?" Jericho asked. The preacher looked at me. "You should have told me that you're not feeling well."

They sat in a glass vase, their scent filling the air. “Who could have brought this?” I muttered. Checking if there's any note attached so that I can know the sender. My chest tightened when I spotted a small card tucked inside. “Good morning, Sunshine. Enjoy your day at work. Jack.” The letter reads. I rolled my eyes and let out a deep breath. I guess he wasn't joking when he said he would pursue me. I was about to place the piece of paper back into the flowers when I saw a steaming cup of coffee. Exactly the way I liked it. ‘Who could have brought this?’

Jack is happy as he finally got rid of Val’s suitors. After coming back from the wedding Jack stood in front of the mirror naked applying his skincare, that is her monster who has no shame to wander around naked. As an idol Jack cares about his appearance most, he have more skincare products than Val. Val sat on the bed staring at his sexy muscular back.

I sighed again, my head dropping to the floor. “Late? How is it late? You can be whatever you want to be. Jenny and I would help you in every way we can to make your dream come true. Jack moved closer and tilted my head. The brightness in my eyes came back because of his supportive words. “Right, Jenny?” He looked over his shoulder at her. “Uhm... Right.” She replied. I couldn't control the happiness that bobbed in me hence, I wrapped my hands around Jack suddenly giving him the hug he had requested the other day. This time it was me who genuinely wanted to be wrapped around him.

It was just a small peck, but to Jack, it was in some ways as much of a turn-on as anything Marika had done to him on this night of nights. "Bye now," Marika sighed with a lilt. And then, just like that, she was gone. Jack stood there in a trance, touching his cheek where his niece had kissed him.
