Crossing Lines
“But tonight, they’re going to learn something.”
She turned her face toward me, breathless, trembling, waiting. “What?” she whispered.
“That you’re mine,” I said, low and deliberate. “And no one touches what’s mine.”
She exhaled, shaky and slow, her body melting into me with a subtle surrender that made my blood thrum. I guided her forward through the haze of bodies, past champagne flutes and lines of powder and silk-bound submission. She stayed with me, hand in mine, the heat between us drawn tight like a leash.
