"Have a good rehearsal, Juliet." She turned and walked off. Humming, of all things. Like she hadn't just found the one thing in this entire school that could actually ruin me.

"Juliet, listen to me. You can't treat me like this. I did all of this because I love you…" Juliet shoved him away without hesitation. He stumbled to the floor, a dark bruise already forming on his neck. "Find Hugo and apologize to him until he forgives you."

I was feeling light-headed and his touch was doing no good to me and suddenly we heard a knock on the door. Before I could say something, she spoke, “I-I came here to see you!” she said with a sad look on her face. Fake, she’s acting! My subconscious yelled. She stepped inside and stood in front of us, I noticed her eyes moving to our hands and our closeness, “Leave!” Apollo spoke through his teeth, he looked angry and irritated. “Ap…” she tried to say something but Romulus cut her off, “You shouldn’t have come here, Juliette,” He spoke angrily. I peeked at him and saw him with Benjamin who looked equally angry at her arrival.

Every bit of her. I leafed through them and my heart beat louder in my chest as each picture came out. Juliet is winding a pair of pumps in the garden. Juliet in a stroll with her friend. Juliet is sleeping in bed with a curtain of hair over her cheek. That one turned my stomach. Somebody had come near enough to the window of our bedroom. Someone was watching us. Watching her. At the bottom of the stack was a folder. An ordinary sheet of paper inside, written in angry jagged strokes that burned into the paper.

“Please, Alessandra. You need to promise that you will do this last favor for me before you leave.” He placed the belt on my study table and started getting rid of his t-shirt. Just then the door to my room opened and thankfully Drama Juliet entered. “What the hell!” She ran her gaze on my shocked face and then she noticed Romeo’s t-shirt and belt lying on the study table. “Romeo! What are you exactly doing here? You came here to talk!” She picked up his t-shirt and threw it on his face which he clearly did not like, “You said that you needed a favor from her. You need her to promise you something. Right?”

I closed my eyes and turned my face to the side, bracing for the blow, but it never came. Instead, there was a sudden commotion. The sound of a heavy thud echoed in the room, and Venezio's grip loosened on my arm. Opening my eyes, I saw Marco standing between Venezio and me, his expression dark and threatening as he seized him by the collar and shoved him backward with brute force. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Marco's voice thundered, his eyes ablaze with fury as he glared at Venezio. Venezio struggled against Marco's grip, his face twisted in anger. "She attacked me! She's a crazy bitch!" he spat out, blood dripping from his nose.

Nevertheless, she chose not to escalate the situation by instigating a conflict within the theater group. Soon, Charlotte finished applying her makeup and prepared to go on stage. Today's rehearsal scene featured the classic moment from Romeo and Juliet, where the two lovers converse on the balcony during a moonlit night. Juliet soliloquized about love at her window, while Romeo, drawn to the scene, intruded, and they confessed their love for each other. Romeo used the most beautiful metaphors and language to express his love, while Juliet responded with her own sufferings and vows of love.

Every time she says a line, she glances up—quick, like checking if I’m still there. When we hit the sonnet’s kiss part, the room gets quieter. Even the usual whisperers shut up. **Haru (Romeo):** “Then move not, while my prayer’s effect I take. Thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purged.” **Mia (Juliet, voice barely above a whisper):** “Then have my lips the sin that they have took.” There’s a beat of silence after the kiss lines—no stage direction read aloud, just the weight of it.

The man let out a deep laugh as he stood up and spit the blood from his mouth onto the concrete floor. “Touch me again, and I’ll bite your fingers off.” Juliet hissed at the man. As scared as she was, she held her ground. It didn’t matter what trouble Matthew was in. These men were out for revenge, and she wasn’t going to be responsible for his death.

Breathe. I bowed my head a little and forced a smile to show him. I feel disappointed that our meeting is like this once again. But I have to sort things out--- he is right, I have to clarify the battle in my heart. He walked me through the elevator and the area was filled with silence. It was deafening. I got in the elevator and turned to him. He was looking at me with such a kind expression and I feel my heart breaking from something that I didn't know. We stared at each other without neering a word until the door closes and I was left alone.
