ICE- The Alpha’s Playbook

ICE- The Alpha’s Playbook

"Don't expect me to pay. My rent is due." "I’ve got it," I promised, grinning. He’d ignored the compliment, but I didn't care. "You live nearby?" "Four blocks from the shop." "Must be nice. A short commute." "What about you? Do you have a den near the dome in D.C.?" "Not really. I wanted land outside the city. The noise is too much. But the traffic is a nightmare. Doesn't matter, though. I’ll probably be packing my life into boxes before the next season starts."

Accidental Roommate of the Campus Alpha

Accidental Roommate of the Campus Alpha

discount, putting the rent just within my budget. The owner, a girl named Maeve, seemed to be overseas. We could only talk over a staticky phone line. She explained it was a two-bedroom, which meant sharing. I didn’t care. I needed out of that hotel, fast. “A roommate? I’m fine with that. Is it you I’d be sharing with?” Maeve’s voice cut in and out through the static. “...owner… living there? Yes… If that’s… okay… you should sign the lease soon.”

My Roommate's Search for a Baby Daddy

My Roommate's Search for a Baby Daddy

Clutching her phone, she burst into tears and ran into the bathroom. From outside, I could vaguely hear her making a complaint call. Her voice was nothing like usual—pinched and cloying, unpleasant to listen to. Grinding her teeth, Joey dropped back into her chair. The other roommate, Carmen Radler, asked worriedly, "She isn't really dating Nick, is she? We really can't afford to offend someone like him." Joey snorted. "So what if she is? We're in the right—what's there to be afraid of? Does he really think he can bend the law? We got into this university on our own merit!"

The Roommate Who Loved to Bare It All

The Roommate Who Loved to Bare It All

"Avis, could you grab my body wash? It’s on my desk. I'm busy showering; I can't go over to get it." On the balcony, my roommate, Linda Lowe, was indulging in her cold shower, basking in the sunlight streaming through the windows. Our dorm wasn’t on a high floor, and anyone passing below could easily glance up to enjoy the view. But Linda didn’t care. Far from it—she seemed to revel in it, swaying her body with exaggerated movements as though she couldn’t wait to flaunt herself.

roommates. Damien chuckles, nodding in agreement. **Roommates with paperwork.** Carol grins but doesn’t reply right away. Instead, she sits down on the bed, bouncing slightly to test it. **Not bad,** she signs. **At least you didn’t stick me in some guest room across the house.** **I thought about it,** Damien replies with mock seriousness. **But this way, I can keep an eye on you. Just in case you decide to... disappear.**

My Dormmate Is a Weirdo

My Dormmate Is a Weirdo

During the first day of the semester, my boyfriend, William Evans, brought my luggage up to my dorm room for me. Out of the four of us who would share a dorm room, I was the last one to arrive. Once I finished unpacking my things, Natasha Tate, whose bed was across from mine, approached me with a stern expression.

Man's Best Wingman

Amaya questioned, holding my arms. I laughed and shook my head. “He can’t afford a penthouse, I don’t think. It’s his cousin’s apartment, and she’s subletting it to him or us for right now. She’s some big deal in DC where she works in the cyber division.” I explained.

Is that really how the book ends? It's a really good book but to end it that way... Especially with the trauma the two main characters seperately endured... Feels wrong to deprive the reader from getting to have that HEA with the characters.

Another wonderful book!! I have laughed so hard it hurts and this is not just a nod to romance, But Life getting in the way and our animals fully taking over and inserting themselves when we aren't brave enough to do it ourselves. Absolutely brilliant!!!

The Assassin's Surrender VIIII

The Assassin's Surrender VIIII

“How about a rain check on dinner? I just want to go home and unwind.” He gives me a warning nod. “Okay, but no excuses next time.” I nod and look at Corbin. “How about we do some sparring?” Corbin nods. “Sounds good.” About a year ago, he and I bought apartment lofts in the same downtown Manhattan building. We figured being roommates would be a hassle considering how much we like our own privacy. But we also like to hang, so it made sense to be neighbors. It’s been surprisingly cool. I converted one of the rooms into a gym, which Corbin and I use often. Yeah, we might not live in the same apartment, but we might as well, considering he walks in and makes himself at home in my gym.

The chef and The charmer

The chef and The charmer

I said, standing up. Damien followed suit, walking me toward the hall. Then it happened. The part I’d completely forgotten about. “There’s only one bedroom left,” Damien said, his voice smug as he looked at me. “Guess we’re roommates tonight.” My soul left my body. The bedroom was massive—high ceilings, crisp sheets, and of course, one single, traitorous king-size bed in the center of it all like a smug little throne. We both stood there, staring at it.
