My secret lover

My secret lover

I stopped in front of my mom and dad’s graves, my eyes beginning to tear up, but something else caught my attention. A bouquet of white roses lay near my mom’s headstone, recently placed because the flowers hadn’t yet wilted. It wasn’t from me, and I didn’t know any of her friends who could’ve left them. But I recognized those roses—they were from Apollo’s garden. But why were they here? Regardless, what’s past is past.

ROSES OVER DAFFODILS

ROSES OVER DAFFODILS

I give them to her. "I love roses but the fact you brought the red ones scores you another point in my book." she smells them. "Good to know that." I grin. "But you know you needn't have brought them anyway." she stares. "I wanted to." I reply. I was passing this flower shop when I saw these good looking roses. My mind immediately went to Della and I knew I had to get her a bouquet. "Okay. A minute, I need to put these in a vase." I wait for her from outside before she returns all set. We get inside the car and I fire the engine to the busy street.

Roses and Wars

Roses and Wars

Getting back on my feet, I made my way towards the bath where a few other maids were waiting for me already as the intoxicating smell of roses became a part of the atmosphere. I got out of the bath smelling myself as the sharp scent of roses had deeply penetrated my skin. Water dripped down my fair skin as I stood up and walked away from the bath. When I was done with everything, I saw a maid bringing an extravagant light pink gown which had white butterflies and flowers decorated all over the bodice as the skirt was quite puffy and pretty. I noticed that Mrs.Hanzah tied the corset a bit tighter than usual. My hair was styled into a formal braided bun as I looked marvelous. Walking towards t

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

We’ve been weaving through the forest for some time now, but I come to stop at the towering oak tree overlooking the bluff that gives us a sweeping view of the lands below, small villages and towns glimmering in the early morning sunlight. I sit back on my haunches, staring absently over the bluff. The flowers we planted over the freshly turned soil atop Mystica’s grave tremble in the cool morning breeze. Poppy and I had chosen perennials, so they’d grow back every year. I’d planted roses behind her headstone that would one day be full of deep red blooms, her favorite. One day, a long time from now, this place will be nothing but a bed of flowers, the headstone hidden behind the roping wiste

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

Red, purple, blue - every colored rose except black, but the saddest part was black would have been the most fitting. Sniffles and tears of pale bodies covered in black overwhelmed me with sadness. Bony branches of dead winter trees served as umbrellas to our snow covered heads. The winters wind blew, chilling my bones. You could see other head stones in the distance, representing other people's sniffles and tears.

I wished I could do more… Instead of walking out the graveyard, he led me behind a curtain of thick vines. Hidden and separated from the rest were more headstones. The graves had different plants, too, and as we passed them by, I noticed on the visible headstones a recurring name, “Rose”. It was his family’s.

Absolutely one of the BEST books I have ever read!! The storyline is phenomenal, the characters are interesting and will have you crying, laughing, cheering and every other emotion in between! It was incredibly hard to put down once I started reading. My only complaint, I wish it was longer!!!

Grey's Rose

Grey's Rose

But that day, I go back with a wavering feeling. It has been one year since then, Now I'm 18 years old and I also get closer to Mark and get to know his ambitions along with dex. I've decided to plant a trust in them and so I trained and joined the gang while also being a member of Shallow Rail. I gain a new title that soon rose up in the media after a few missions, they call me ' The Rose Empress'. It was formed after they found a black rose along with a strong rose scent on my dead victim. It just somehow became my trademark even tho initially, I put a rose to show a tad of grieve. For me, it was a mission but for them, it's the end of their life so I want to at least pay my respect as a f

Blood And Roses

Blood And Roses

We ran towards the garden, I found myself chasing butterflies while my parents cheered excitedly. "Come. I want to show you something" Royce said and grabbed my hand, pulling me excitedly. We got to a lake and royce knelt down, pulling me down along with him. "Look Roselle, what do you see?" he asked, staring at out reflection in the water. I looked back at my reflection, surprised to see that I looked exactly as I did ten years ago, I hadn't even aged one bit. everything was just like it was before, perfect and peaceful. I completely forgot about pain and revenge.

Divorced: Dear Ex It's Your Loss

Divorced: Dear Ex It's Your Loss

I just opened the door and stepped out. The air smelled different, calmer somehow. Eric came around the car and gently took my hand, leading me toward the side of the house. We walked past the back door and into the garden. I stopped. Red roses surrounded a small space in the ground, their petals bright against the green leaves. They looked too alive, too beautiful for what they were guarding. My grip on the flowers tightened. My feet moved slowly, each step heavier than the last. When I reached the small grave, my knees almost gave out.

Robert P.O.V Three Years Later A cold wind swept through the empty cemetery, ruffling my hair as I knelt down, placing two bouquets on the weathered tombstones before me. The scent of fresh lilies and roses mixed with the crisp autumn air, a stark contrast to the lingering memories buried beneath the soil.
