The day of the engagement soon came, and it felt so surreal, but it happened. During the engagement, I said a little prayer in my heart for Edwina, for being so stupid to miss this opportunity because if she hadn’t done something so stupid, I would have never had the opportunity to witness this day. I hoped that she would do more stupid things in her life so that people like us, who have no royal background, can get an opportunity like this.

Denzel walked outside and spotted Janelle standing by the pool. Arms folded and staring at nothing in particular. He still couldn't understand why she would go on with this charade. She might be his cousin's fiancée, but he still knew her to her finger prints. She tried to sound excited in announcing her engagement but she wasn't such a good actress. She must have sensed his presence because she turned around and smiled. He walked up to her, handing her a glass of wine. "Tell me you're not a witch."

I deadpanned, feeling a chill run down my spine as the hairs on the back of my neck rose, the thought of what was playing out in my head imbuing me with such horror that it was impossible for me not to recoil. I was doing the right thing, I had to be. There was simply no other option. “T-The council registry? Your Highness?” Igor squeaked, rearing back like I had slapped him hard across the face. “Set the date for my royal engagement to Olivia in three days.” I finished coldly and watched as the man’s blonde eyebrows damned near rolled to the back of his head. My best man looked at me like I had gone mad.

The Royal Crimson Bar lived up to its reputation. Creatures of the night and humans mingled as they raised their drinks to the air and danced to the beat of the bustling music. The night hasn't yet reached its peak but humans flocked to this place without regard to the safety code the World Government established to protect them from the creatures of the night. Fifty years ago, the world dramatically changed after a phenomenon struck it with the revelation that the creatures of the night really exist and not some type of fiction that could be read in novels.

Logan Nielsen "Did someone recognise you?" My father asked. "No, I will be fine here." I said as I sat down on the sofa. "Very well, I'll contact you again later. Take care of yourself, son." My fa5her ended the call. My father is the King of Denmark, Valentino Nielsen. I'm Logan Christopher Nielsen, the Prince of Denmark. As much as I love being in the palace, I have to get put of it. Why? There's been a lot of scandals surrounding me lately but all of them are not true so to slowly due them down, I have to go to London to continue my school here.

Amelia muttered under her breath. “As fate would have it, a new king was enthroned in this kingdom as well, who had a similar agenda to your grandfather’s. These two kings met and during their peace treaty, they agreed on a royal intermarriage. I believe this is because it is a known fact that none of them would be able to attack if their family member is in either of the kingdoms.” The room fell silent as Amelia tried to process what her father just said. Since he wasn't of the female gender, it was impossible to get married to the person. Hence, the next generation was dragged into this.

Damn it! Ryu, who was leaning on the closed door behind Rhys with his palms on his nape, joined the conversation, “I wonder why the king declared such all of the sudden,” He slowly strolled towards Rhys’s sitting figure and bent his back down to read the scroll with her. He actually wore that freaking attitude. Yeah, he unerringly smirked. “Days from now, they will hold an engagement party at that kingdom, huh, both of your presence is needed.” He informed.

He said while lifting his hands. "I don't want to calm down Adrean. Where am I?" I asked loudly. "In my palace." He answered Softly then looked away. "What do you mean your palace?" I asked seriously. "Where is she?" A woman's voice asked. The door was opened by a man in golden armor, he looked like a royal guard. An older woman walked in. She looked very beautiful, but what caught my eye was the diamond pendant that had the royal seal of one of the feared, rich kingdoms in all land.

Valery said washing her hands. The Left Guardian walked in and she smiled. This man was a loyal man. She had known him for decades and yet he never betrayed her or the palace. “Oh, hail my Saintess and Mistress!” he praised as he knelt down and crossed his arms. “You may rise,” she said and he did so. “You look more beautiful and refined mistress,” he said and she smiled. “You know how to make me smile all the time Guardian. Why are you here?” “There is an invitation that the royal family sent one month ago and since you are now awake, how should we deal with it? I never gave them a reply.”

he continued, "Get back 'ere. Do you have any idea what some would pay for her kind? Or even just for proof one of them survived?" The other two who remained looked at him sceptically, but the first took out his phone, which flashed brightly with the sound of a camera shutter a moment later. "Are you mad?!" one of the others said, "You want to try and catch a bloody Royal?!" and the first shrugged, "Well, she doesn't seem all that tough, does she? Probably weak, from being on the run and all."
