She had no business feeling anything for Alexander Claiborne, especially not disappointment or, heaven forbid, jealousy.
“Who do you want to marry?” Thackeray asked. Crossing his arms, he eyed Claiborne imperiously, as if he even could say no to the request.
“See, the tricky thing is, she doesn’t have any noble blood. So for us to be married, the union has to be blessed by the royal family….” His voice trailed off, expectant.
“Done. That’s easy,” Thackary’s arms dropped to his side, pleased with himself. The King was not the only one who could approve of such a marriage, anyone in the direct line of succession would work, so Prince Thackeray could bless whatever marriage Claiborne wanted.
