The sun began to set, bathing the vast castle grounds in a bright orange glow. Jason's and Eric's gazes fixed on the bare stump of the apple tree in the garden. The apple tree was gone now, and the garden was filled with lavender. The little garden that Rosa used to love so much was no longer there. Avril had been the one diligently tending to it after Rosa left the world, but now, she had left as well.

Joyce let out a sigh and said, "Rosa, you're still quite young. There are some matters you may not fully understand." Rosa laughed and fired back, "Seriously, Mom? I'm not a kid.
