Claimed by the Ruthless Wolf Slayer
“Good. Now let’s get you home before you vibrate out of your skin with anxiety.”
We entered through the main gates, pack members calling out greetings as we passed. I acknowledged them automatically, my focus entirely on getting to our quarters.
Rory was in the hallway outside, talking to one of the younger pack members. When she saw me, she smiled.
“She’s fine,” she said before I could ask. “Stable, cranky, desperate to get out of bed, but fine.”
“Thank you for staying with her.”
“It was my pleasure. Though I have to warn you, she’s read every book in the library and is now creating elaborate revenge fantasies about Dr. Sarah’s bed rest orders.”
