Rules To Survival Novels & Stories

NEW OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE “What do you mean survive?!” someone shouted. “From what?!” “Who are you?!” Voices overlapped. Panic spread quickly. The screen didn’t react. It continued. Cold. Unfeeling. RULE ONE: SURVIVE TO CONTINUE EXISTING RULE TWO: FAILURE RESULTS IN ERASURE “Erasure…?” Lena repeated quietly. Her throat felt dry. “What does that mean…?” No one answered. But she understood. Deep down. Gone.

He looked straight at Kael, eyes clear and respectful: “I organise work, watch, supplies and plans… you guide where safety lies and where danger hides. Equal partners.” “Agreed,” Kael replied simply, steady and sure. “And everyone’s voice matters equally.” We laid out clear rules together: Always move minimum two‑by‑two, never alone Tasks fair and rotating: gather / build / fetch water / guard fire / night watch. Shelter doubled‑stronger, extra fire‑pits along perimeter. Signal system agreed clearly Every member learns basic survival knowledge Unity above all else. As night deepened again, silver mist rose soft and pure once more sweet‑scented, gentle, no longer grey‑cold. It swirled around

The four of them knew those rules without needing to read them. They had created them when they were young, long before any of them understood how often life would test them. Demin rested his hand against the edge of the table. "They apply regardless of what happens tomorrow." Kanem looked toward him. "Sure." Truz nodded. "The pack laws matter too. No pack member attacks another outside a sanctioned challenge. No wolf continues after the opponent yields. No contestant ignores the Alpha's command." Drake added, "And no rivalry from the ring follows anyone back into the village."

"Breach Team, grab the power saw and hydraulic shears! Get that door this instant! Truck One, hit the fire from the front with the two water cannons! Truck Two, cover from the side windows! Search Team, follow them in and prioritize victim extraction!" I could already picture the scene as I listened to the commotion outside. It would take at least three to five minutes from breaching the door to deploying the hose. If someone was really trapped in there, every second was a matter of life and death. It was worth noting that a kitchen fire would generate toxic fumes, making the initial stage of the fire the optimal window for rescue. Yvonne, however, had squandered that window by coming to my

Mom could never show her face there again. I blocked her number but continued having someone deliver a book of scratch cards to her mailbox every month. I was not worried about her winning big. Scratch cards followed patterns. The ones I sent were carefully selected from batches where the grand prizes had already been claimed. Ironically, Mom really did get sick, just like she had claimed when she tricked me into coming home. She had a stroke. She survived but could no longer take care of herself. She would spend the rest of her life in bed.

“The one who survives is declared the victor. But they changed that when they changed the win condition. The only reason everyone else died in the past is because of the rules. Everyone had to kill everyone else. That was the only way to win. But that’s not the case now. When they changed the rules, Senna, they changed the outcome. All the new rules state now is that the winner is the first one to touch the spire. They don’t say anything about being the only survivor.” My words landed. Her brow furrowed. “They didn’t update the termination clause,” I continued to explain. “Because they assumed the outcome would be the same. One survivor. They assumed you would all kill each other to get to t

Crazy how getting through the worst shit flips the script. Turns straight enemies into ride-or-die. Survival don’t give a fuck about old rules but it writes new ones in blood.

"When you're broken you need to be reborn. Do not fight the Pain; embrace it. Accept it. Live it. Don't rush the process, you need to swim in the deep end for a while to build you muscles. Learn. Keep swimming. You will be stronger for it." - Caitlin Cooper ************************************

Lillian began to walk a bit further, and she sighted a shop across the road. Suddenly, she tried to cross to the other lane, and the next thing she heard was the loud horn coming from a car. She flinched and fell to the ground while her trolley rolled to the other side. Her heart kept racing and for a minute, she thought she was dead, not until she heard a voice that seemed far, and then it came close to her ears. She slowly opened her eyes with her hand on her chest and she roamed them around only to notice someone standing close to her.

He paused to look over at Jacob while they both laughed, "Perfect for a little game, don’t you agree? And as long as you keep to the rules, we won't touch your dying little pet over there." "Rules? What are the rules?" "Don't worry; they are so simple, and you will remember them. 1. Run. 2. Run. and rule number 3. Don’t die. It is not up to you when you get to die; that is up to us. Do you need to write that down, honey? Run, never stop, and ask for permission before dying."
