High above the border sea, a tumultuous burst of chaotic energy had erupted violently. In its wake, there seemed to be divine fury as the heavens trembled and thunder roared. A deluge of crimson blood cascaded down, crashing upon the border sea and producing towering waves. The rain crashed into the sea like droplets sizzling upon a scalding oil pan.

[The Rising Tide] The sound was not a roar; it was a groan, a deep, tectonic weeping that vibrated through the soles of my feet and into my very marrow. Through the reinforced glass of the Core, the horizon of New Macau was changing. The sea, once a shimmering sapphire girdle around our high-tech paradise, was retreating with an unnatural, predatory speed. It left behind miles of grey, glistening silt and gasping reefs—a bared throat waiting for the knife.

“There’s only what’s left after the choosing.” The water hissed, swirling tighter around me, higher now to my waist, to my ribs. Each breath I took tasted of iron. The runes I had carved into the cliffs glowed through the mist, feeding the surge. I lifted my hands, and the waves obeyed. From the center of the sea, a column of water rose, twisting like smoke, its surface flickering with faces wolves, warriors, ghosts of all the drowned who had ever followed me. They whispered in a thousand voices, all mine, all hers.

Blurb! Blurb! Caleb squinted through the water that was so cold that it cut to the bone, while hearing the bubbling around him. As he swam deeper, the bubbling couldn't be heard any longer, and he was suddenly surrounded in a strange, eerie silence. Sound didn't spread, and there were no ripples to be seen—it was as if the waters had suddenly frozen completely. All within view was a tiny spark that suddenly spread around him, illuminating the depths that could not be seen.

The scene is filled with a heavy silence as i stared out at the sea, my mind reeling with the sudden turn of events. The only sound that breaks the stillness is the gentle lapping of the waves against the shore. The air is thick with the smell of salt and seaweed, and the only movement is the occasional seagull flying overhead. The water is a deep blue, almost black in some places, and the waves are choppy and restless. In the distance, a storm is brewing, and the sky is darkening with ominous clouds. It's as if the world itself is mourning the loss of Dr. Ingres.

The old man said with concern. Samuel nodded. The small non-defense blood worm had become extremely fierce under the fury, let alone the fierce beast-like Moonlight Ghost Fish. How could he be careless? "Rumble!" "Boom!" Suddenly, a huge bubble appeared on the surface of the ice cave. Bubbles exploded from his mouth as he roared underwater, a soundless torrent of rage. His hands scrabbled at my arms, my face, trying to pry me off, to claw free. His eyes, wide and panicked in the gloom, reflected primal terror.

There were dozens of boats lined up there, all kinds of fishing boats he could see, and of course, one boat that looked damaged in several parts, with a broken mast, a damaged net puller, and a torn fishing net, as if it had been shredded, and a hole in the side of the boat, as if it had been rammed by something huge. "Look, it's in bad shape, the storm must have been very bad in the middle of the sea that night, it seems it also hit the underwater rocks when the big waves came, and the moon couldn't guide the gods to lead this boat," Mr Calgeur tried to explain.
