The door creaked open. Ryan stood there, no longer radiating the raw, primal fury of the night before. His eyes, though still a piercing blue, held a deep weariness, and something else—a profound sadness. He looked like he hadn't slept, lines of exhaustion etched around his mouth. The silver of his glamour was gone; this was just Ryan, vulnerable and raw.
