It has been two months since we arrived in Newberry Falls. Almost fifteen hours from our home. Sadie and I are in a one-bedroom apartment and have been going by the names Bobby and June. We thought it would be better to change our names for now. We still have three months before we turn eighteen. We have decided to stay here until we’re both eighteen and then move again. The only person that knows of our whereabouts is Tyler.

My dad asks. “Someone unannounced is coming.” My mom says without breaking our eye contact. “8 miles.” I say. My blood boiling in my veins. I turn my back to my mother and look into the woods. “Who is coming, Dora?” Mom asks me. “A man with dark skin, golden eyes, and a tattoo in his right arm.” I tell everyone. “Which tattoo, Pandora?” I hear the voice of the alpha asking me.
