They were inside a magical sack that materialized with only a wave of a hand. This most probably came from a storage ring, he thought. "As I said, it is a gift from the master. You may address me as Mistress Ais. Get one and put it on your neck, mortals." The masked boy replied to the enquiry of Chief Sakar.

A mask should be worn. Blood Moon grabbed a black fox mask that covers her eyes and nose, and only her red lips are visible. She walked outside the room and met her idiotic partner in crime. "Hello, Shadow," she greeted with a bit of hesitance. "Looking great, Keisha," he greeted with a playful flirt and she closed her eyes in frustration. "Do not-- Do not call me by my name," she irritatedly commanded. "I didn't know you were coming with me," she murmured with gritted teeth. Guessing from the way he dressed, she concluded that he'll be accompanying her.

I wanted to rip the mask off, to let him see the monster and the woman, and to lose myself in the heat of his embrace. But as his fingers moved toward the silk ribbons at the back of my head, a cold splash of reality hit me. I am a murderer, I reminded myself. I am an impostor in a dead girl's palace.
