It’s nice to meet you.” Lily ran to the bookcase that housed the DVDs and grabbed the Frozen cover. “You Hawk’s woman?” Sally asked, quietly which I appreciated.

I tug her face upwards unexpectedly. I feast my eyes on her face. It looks absurd and scarred. One part of her face is ruined. She still has her eyes closed. Surely, I do not know her and she is not a member of the pack. I have never seen her before but it all feels as though this is not the first time I am meeting her.

“I do not have time for this, Anna, you’ve been very helpful.” I spotted Sally ahead, and beside her was her friend Amanda. Sally’s complexion made me freeze for a few seconds. Her face was deathly pale, like all blood had been drained out of her. She looked so frail, and small. Like a small brush of my hand would make her crumble to dust. I strode over to her and gently called her name. she didn’t acknowledge my presence and instead lowered her head and hurried on ahead. “Sally,” I called again,

Zach, donning an intimidating demeanor, responded with a brief sound of acknowledgment. "Did the both of you…" Oliver asked timidly as he tailed behind his father. "Meet Nate and Suzanne?" Zach sat on the sofa. His face darkened as he watched Sally cozy up to her grandmother. "We did. If Sally didn't tell me she got her face done, I'd think Suzanne was my granddaughter instead." He replied in an unhurried manner. Stunned by his words, Sally's face paled, and she shot him a nervous look. She abruptly met his horrifying gaze and looked away sheepishly. She then replied with a laugh, "It's plastic surgery. She got it specifically done in order to marry Nate."

Raven felt proud of his face meanwhile Kai doesn't care. Kai grinned at himself in victory. There was a short haired lady seated on the teacher's table, writing something. There was no one else but her. A single knock on the door caught Liana's attention. It caught her dumbfounded as her eyes met Kai's. Confusion and shock hit Liana in a flash. Her number one question is why is he there? It has been a week since she saw that face. She almost even forgot about what happened. She didn't know how she walked herself in front of a grinning Kai. She slumped onto the floor, but she pretended to remain calm and unshaken. "That's not true, darling. You told me that Olivia's the person you care the most about. I would never dream of hurting her! I lost the diary when I came to the island. Olivia must've picked it out of—" Her words were cut off by a ringing slap that immediately made her cheek swell up. She even started bleeding from the corner of her mouth.

' We nodded and I was about to say something else when a knock at the door stopped me. We exchanged nervous glances wondering if it was either of the Alphas. I went to the door and opened it to find a petite lady standing there smiling wide. 'Hi, my name is Sally and I am the recommended makeup artist,' she said without a smile faltering. She looked as if she was eighteen years but at a second look I knew she must be in her mid-twenties. I allowed her to lead the way inside while I followed her in.

A woman let out a shrieking laugh behind me. “Wow, someone understands how I feel. Another thing I apparently have to tell people is that my sister, Alice, is a trans woman. It’s not a secret, it’s never been a secret, I'd even go as far to say Alice is proud of it. But it’s not something that comes up naturally in conversation but people get prissy when they find out because I didn’t tell them sooner. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I will develop wrinkles. I will die.
