The Wrong Alpha’s Heir

The Wrong Alpha’s Heir

A woman gasped. But none of them mattered. Alice White——international racing champion. Years ago, I stood on stages with big trophies. Cameras flashed. People cheered. I was the renowned fastest racer. Tonight, that skill was all I had. “Hold on, Liam,” I whispered. “Mommy will save you.” Soon, I reached the banquet area. My tires screeched a little as I parked a few meters away from the main entrance. I threw the door open and hurried out, rubbing my sweaty hands against the sides of my dress.

This story is so damn good, I literally can’t get enough of it. I finished the last chapter like an hour ago, and I’m dying to read more of it. Like literally. I’m checking on the story like every five minutes, as if trying to make the next chapters magically appear in front of me ...

Celeste's Mommy Runs Away

Celeste's Mommy Runs Away

"Don't think that because you're my wife, you can do as you please. I already told you that you need to be on your best behavior!" Ellen still held her cheeks, dumbfounded. A realization came to her mind. 'I forgot that he is Aleck Verro... He's a mafia boss who would not bat an eye if he killed someone...' 'Even me...' ... Race day. On a sunny Sunday, Cecilia wore a white mini fitted dress that perfectly hugged her body. Her slim and tall build was accentuated by her black strap heels. She then paired it with a black clutch that she crocheted in her free time.

she hissed. Larissa smiled and leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Have you ever heard of 'The Calamity'?" Queenie paused briefly before replying, "Are you talking about that underground racer who's won most of their races?" Larissa's smile was undecipherable as she corrected her, "They didn't win most of their races. They won all of them." Queenie's eyes were as wide as saucers as she covered her mouth with a hand.

Sarah replied. Sister Gladys offered her a single nod and exited the room. When she was gone, Sarah stood awkwardly for a moment, watching the quietly women stare back at her in scrutiny. Then another one closest to her, sitting on the lower bunk, stood up and smiled warmly, breaking the weird silence much to her relief. "I'm Sister Anita, this is Sister Florence..." She gestured to the first woman who had approached her from the upper bunk, then she finally pointed at the last woman sitting on the last bunk bed. "...and that over there is Sister Yin." Sarah craned her neck to see the last woman, just noticing that the women were of different races. Anita was an African-American, Florence lo

You Can't Bid for My Love

You Can't Bid for My Love

“It’s really just a guessing game anyway.” Soraya glared daggers at me and I started to wish that I had kept my mouth shut. “Like you would know anything about it.” She muttered. We all turned our attention back to the race and I had to stifle a laugh when Eminent Chronos started to fall behind. I glanced at Soraya and saw her face looking angrier by the second. At the end of the race, Let Me In was the winner and had to stop myself from smiling triumphantly.

Break up with me

Break up with me

Sal's wheelchair sat in the corner by the window where the light came in, and the television was always on, always racing, the volume low, and Dani had spent enough afternoons in that living room to know the sound of a race playing at low volume the way you know the sound of rain on a familiar roof, so familiar you stop hearing it, and today the race playing was a super modified sprint from the eighties, and Sal had the remote in his lap, and he hadn't turned it off when she came in, and she'd known then that something was wrong, because Sal always muted the television when someone came over, always, and he hadn't muted it today. Sal was quiet for a while. On the television behind them, an o

The CEO’s Obsession: Layla, You’re Not Allowed to Die

The CEO’s Obsession: Layla, You’re Not Allowed to Die

There was even a time when a director’s wife accused her of seducing her husband without any proof. Despite her attempts to clear her name, people still judged her by her appearance, suggesting she won awards because of “connections” and dismissing her as just a pretty face. Over time, Haley stopped explaining herself, shifting her career focus overseas. Seth’s upcoming film was her first project in years, marking her return to the domestic film scene. At first, Layla had been excited to meet this resilient beauty who had thrived in the face of controversy. But now that Haley Spencer was actually Olivia Harris, it was giving her a headache.

The way the plot thickens at each turn. I’m really excited to continue reading. Layla is a strong character and I liked her character development. Hoping that the author continues the novel and publishes a few chapters at a time.
