He held it in his hands and the moon symbol on the handle of the sword glowed brightly, and so did the moon on Myra's forehead. "You have been marked by the goddess. With this sword, you shall slay dragons. The Alphas sword will only work in the hands of the one true Alpha." She smiled at him enerstly. "Congratulations master." Myra bowed again.

Only a few more hours and I would be able to finally mark her. “PRAISE BE THE GODDESS!!!” I heard in the background again. My dad beamed. “That which the Goddess has formed, and witnessed by me, Eric Benjamin Shields, Alpha of Black Hill cannot be broken.” My mate’s eyes widened slightly as they flickered. That’s right, she didn’t know I got my dad’s middle name. “BONDS ETERNAL! EVERLASTING!!!” The crowd chanted again. “By the blessings of Selene, Goddess of the Moon, I now present to you all Alpha Samantha Silver and Benjamin Shields-Silver of SilverFang!” The crowd started to cheer and clap now, and I couldn’t help but pull her mouth to me briefly.

The next, we were here—in this sacred, otherworldly place—face to face with legends. The Moon Goddess Selene stood before us, radiating an aura of calm authority. She had the need to lower her voice even though they were alone. “He says she’s alive, and she’s a…” Selene could barely phantom the thought that her dumb, treacherous sister would have the power of the moon goddess herself. “A what?” Athlea leered at her daughter. Selene hesitated for a second. She couldn’t help but feel foolish even as the words left her mouth, “she’s a silver wolf.”

Before I could ask, she read my mind and spoke in a heart-fluttering tone, “I am Selene, the Moon Goddess you worship, my child.” My head bowed on its own as I quickly knelt, paying my earnest respect. “Thanks for gracing me with your presence, my Goddess.” The symphony of her divine tone resounded in my ears, healing the deep lacerations of my soul. My Goddess addressed me softly. “You are the first female Fenrir Alpha King I created for my children on earth, Shyla Alford. And you have come back so early to heaven? No my, dear. It’s not time yet!”

I state irritatingly wondering who could be disrupting our conversation. One of the maids walked in, "Alpha" "Yes?" "The Luna is awake."

I scoffed finally realizing why everyone was feeling so borderlined today - Irina was around. "Why do you always have to cross paths with me everytime,Selene?"- her eyes held a tinge of disdain. I rolled my eyes as i exhaled briefly, thinking to myself sarcastically. Here she goes, flaunting her superb skills again. "First at the station... and now here. It's more like you're following me around. Seems like you didn't quite get the message last time" - She smiled, revealing a set of perfectly white teeth.

I wrapped my free hand in the satin fabric of the dress, trying my best to control my anxiety as Alpha Kaia opened the book that lay before her on the altar. It was the Book of the Moon, the sacred writings that the Goddess had left for us. I had never seen it with my own eyes and, Holy Moon, just thinking that the Alpha herself was about to perform that ceremony made me tremble.

She had no right to speak here. And she knew it. Clay shifted beside me, his jaw tight. I could feel his tension through the bond, a sharp, coiled unease. He had not expected this. None of us had. Selene smiled, a soft curve of her lips that did not reach her eyes. “I am of Silvercrest,” she said. A murmur rose immediately. “Silvercrest already speaks through its Alpha,” someone said. Another voice followed, skeptical. “And through its Luna.”
