I sighed shakily and nodded, recalling how dangerous these Guardians were said to be. To think Alaric had his own men too. I wondered if Adrian had his own guardians. Why haven't I thought of it? 'We haven't thought of a lot of things, Samantha, not when we were consumed by hate.' 'No, Ariana, this is different and too huge to have been forgotten.' I took my focus back to the guardian then nodded in response. I wondered why he was at the front of my door.
