“Callie, talk to me. Where does it hurt?”
I opened my mouth to answer, but then I felt it… a warmth trickling down my upper lip. My hand instinctively flew to my nose, and when I pulled it away, I stared in horror at the streak of blood staining my fingers. “Seb… I’m bleeding,” I croaked, my voice trembling.
His eyes widened as he grabbed a tissue from the nearby table, pressing it gently against my nose. “Stay still,” he whispered. “Don’t tilt your head back. Just keep the pressure here.”
