Scarlett’s POV Tiger padded over to me, nuzzling me affectionately, and I reached out, stroking his fur gently. It was unexpectedly soft, and his familiar pinewood scent was even stronger in this form, mingling with the crisp, earthy air of the forest. Tiger’s size was impressive; he radiated strength, yet his movements were careful, tender as he shielded me from the cold, his massive body creating a warm cocoon around me. I leaned into him, feeling a comfort and safety I hadn’t expected.

"Grrrrrr." The snarl vibrated through the concrete floor and the chassis of the iron chair Sora was bolted to until the screws groaned. Vardan stepped over the wreckage, his long fangs dripping predatory saliva, ready to rip apart anyone who dared stand between him and his own. The aura radiating from the wolf was so potent several technicians collapsed into immediate shock. Aidan stepped back, reaching for a short silver weapon at his waist, while Elior aimed his automatic rifle at the massive wolf without a moment's hesitation.

The night stretched long and cold, the air thick with the scent of blood and damp earth. The battle had ended, but the war was far from over. Scar emerged from the shadows, his towering frame moving with deadly grace. His fur, a deep shade of charcoal, gleamed under the moonlight. Scars littered his body, marks of past battles, proof of his dominance. His golden eyes flickered with something unreadable as he stopped in front of the crumpled figure on the ground.

He let the deer escape and he crept in the direction of the voices. Lured also by the intoxicating scent of fresh limes and raspberries, he hunched down and kept low to the ground. Suddenly he heard a blood-curdling scream. Nikau broke into a run crashing through the forest toward the sound.

I frowned as I suddenly tasted something bitter in my mouth. "Looks like he came back empty handed." I heard Scarlett, my wolf excited voice. Yes, my wolf woke up the very day I was mated with Adam. She was very wild and wonderful. She had big brown fur and orange eyes. She was not as tall as Anika's wolf, but she was very beautiful. Her tail was long and furry. I really loved her.
