She says happily with her hand held out for me to take. I ignore her and automatically my gaze turns to Hannah, who is glaring at Scarlets hand. Her reaction is absolutely adorable, if looks could kill, Scarlets hand would have been left to nothing but smithereens. I had no intention of replying to her greeting but watching Hannah I take Scarlets hand and greet her back. Scarlet turns from annoying to vexatious, I couldnt stand her flirting and her giddiness, but I played along to get a better reaction from Hannah.

Ryker’s voice tore through the hall, shattering whatever fragile tension was left and twisting it into something heavier—dangerous. “I’m right here,” I growled, stepping forward. “Exactly where I should be.” My fists clenched, my eyes locked on Selene. She looked nervous beneath her facade of confidence. Before Ryker could speak again, Scarlet entered the hall. She froze the instant her eyes fell on me. More precisely, on the hand I kept behind my back. It wasn’t a wolf’s claw. No, this was worse. The hand had twisted into its cursed, beastlike form. My burden. My shame. The weight I could never set down.

Heat built in my chest, not fire, something older maybe ancient. I thrust my hand up and a pulse of light burst from my palm, burning through the creatures skull. The hollowed collapsed leaving only the hiss of rain on burning flesh. I couldn't do much but lay there shaking, staring at my hand. "What was that?" Scarlet gasped, grabbing me by the arm and pulling me up with her. "I don't," my voice caught, "I don't know."

She heard the movement of a girl’s footsteps, approaching her from behind. Reacting at the speed of light, Scarlet suddenly felt her body turn itself around, felt her own hand go up as she spun, and watched herself grab someone else’s hand just as it approached the back of her head. Scarlet looked up and was amazed to see herself clutching Vivian’s wrist. She looked over and saw a big wad of chewing gum in her palm, and saw her shocked expression. Then she realized what had happened: Vivian had crept up behind her and was about to cram the gum into her hair. Somehow, Scarlet had sensed it and had spun and blocked it at the last second, just inches away.

I will allow her to experience care and gentleness through my heart. I called her Scarlet. Despite her flings and one-night-stands, she is still a very strong-willed woman that does not allow herself to be broken. When I touched her, she felt the heat from me rushing into her more petite body, building an emotional bridge between us. She longed for a passionate session between us, which I willingly allowed. She was my first, and I let the rush of passion between us in my demon body. Making love to her slowly, I satisfied her needs and appeased her anger. Just then, his fingers stopped moving.

While Scarlet is chanting the blue light then travels around her and up it goes it even makes her hair rise like the blue light is creating a breeze and it keeps travelling into the night sky. When it gets nearer to the end she cuts her palm and she passes the knife to me for me to do the same, I choose to cut a little to the left of the last time I cut my hand. Once that is completed, the chanting stops and we clasp hands palm to palm and the blue light flashes back through her and slams into me, I am knocked backwards across the ritual circle. I quickly look up to see that Scarlet is smiling and saying Vincent. Then she collapses to the floor, just like Prince Folen did. I try to stand up

She was scared; yet she didn’t want him to back away. She leaned slightly into him, and he kept his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close to him. They sat side-by-side, their shoulders touching. He slowly ran his hand up and down her arm, warming her. Then he reached out with his other hand, and laid it gently on top of hers. “My God, you’re freezing,” he said. Scarlet quickly retracted her hand, self-conscious. She’d also noticed recently that her hands seemed colder than usual. “Sorry,” she said.

This was the moment she’d been dreaming of all along—and she was going to squeeze every ounce of pleasure out of it that she could. “What the hell happened to you?” she sneered. “You look like crap.” Scarlet was windswept, covered in small nicks and cuts. She had tears in her clothes, mud in her hair, and dirt encrusted on her hands. The sight of her disgusted Vivian. Vivian reached in her back pocket for her shard of wood and held it up to Scarlet’s neck. Scarlet’s eyes widened at the sight of it. Vivian watched her neck bulge as she swallowed her fear.

Just as her fingers were about to touch it, her wrist was grabbed with such force that it felt like her bones might shatter. Pain! It felt like her hand was about to break and cold sweat broke out from the intense pain. Wayne's eyes were bloodshot with rage. "Get your filthy hands off it!" With that, he violently shoved her away.scarllet was caught off guard and fell backward, hitting her head on the corner of a cabinet. The sharp pain left her momentarily numb, her head buzzing. She could feel warm liquid trickling down and reached back to touch her neck, feeling something sticky.
