Emerald-gold eyes peered into my soul as he lifted his head to hiss at me. I blinked a few times. Yep, I've lost it. Because what I was looking at was a panther, and we didn't have panthers in Colorado. Unless I missed something, okay, remain calm. Remember your farm training. Who the hell was I kidding? This was a wild animal, for Christ's Sake.

When the others rushed into the test lab after hearing the sound, Sashi's eyes fell upon the lifeless form of the tabby cat. Screams erupted around me as servants scattered. Rita lunged forward, trying to grab the frenzied animal. “Whose damned beast is this!”Rita roared. My hands were shivering, not only at the warm blood streaming against my skin, but also at the sight of this massive cat; it scared me to death even more.
