The text I received earlier at work keeps coming to mind as I sit there and watch him watching television. His eyes look so lifeless, I almost wonder if he is staring at me or the wall behind me. He smiles a sinister smile and I know, in that moment, he has a plan for me.

A croaked laugh was followed as her scary eyes met the black eyes of her tormentor. His face was covered with a black cloth. A huge scar, almost inhumane, resided on his left eye. It proved that no mercy was going to be given to her as she waited for her death in the arms of a monster. She looked behind him to see a few of his members with their faces hidden looking at her with those malicious eyes. A sharp blade blocked her view, earning her attention towards the one holding her. She shivered in fear, eyes closed, she wished it could be as painless as possible.

She could feel him all around her, staring at them with dark psychotic eyes. Slowly, she turned around and looked up. The moment her eyes met his, she froze. That was a terrible idea but it turned deadly the moment he tore his cold eyes away from her and settled on the man who was still dancing with his arms wrapped around her waist. His eyes darkened, turning gray into near-black thunderclouds. Rosana bit back a smile. At least she had gotten part of what she craved by getting on his nerves. He looked scary and dangerous. She turned her head again, scanning the blackness in terror. Blood red eyes burst through the black with a sudden flicker of Elika’s eyes, causing her to scream in shock. She reared back, overrun with terror as a shape began to form in the darkness; the face of death himself staring back at her. The dark menacing figure smiled, producing razor-like fangs. She stumbled as the creature laughed, losing her footing on the padded floor. Elika fell back, landing with a deafening thud on the ground. All sound faded from the room as she stared up at the beast, its true face shielded by the darkness.

It was almost ticklish. I smiled, and pushed him away gently. I was shocked he let me go. “Seriously, you must like something. There is no man that doesn't like anything.” He went silent, his dark hair which was now slightly covering his eyes, added to the depth of darkness in his eyes making it more scary than it usually was. How can someone have such pretty ice blue eyes but still find a way to make look very scary. “C'mon,” I rolled my eyes. “Even the darkest psychos have some kind of hobbies.” I quickly raised a hand. “Killing people is not a hobby.”

These jokers surely had to come soon, they only gave us enough food for a couple days. We were deep in a game of Bull Shit, one of my favorite card games when we heard someone. These questions linger in my mind. Lucien's eyes lock onto mine, and a cold smile plays upon his lips. It's a smile that holds secrets and darkness, a smile that sends a wave of fear rippling through my entire being. I can't help but tremble, overwhelmed by the intensity of his gaze and the knowledge that he is drenched in blood from a source unknown to me.
