Larry was about to take away his flashlight, but then he stopped abruptly when he noticed a pair of feet by the wall. His eyes went wide with fear as he raised his touch slowly to the face that was connected to the feet he saw. "Oh my God," Larry yelled the moment his flash hit the face of Dharl who was standing by the wall silently watching Larry. Larry took slow shaky steps backwards, his flashlight falling from his loose grip. His brain felt static because he couldn't connect with his feet and be able to run. He only managed a few slow steps backwards. The man he saw looked so pale like he was a corpse, his eyes looking black in the dark cave, his teeth were baring out of his mouth clearl

He said clearing his throat. My eyes widened taking in the top layer of my bosom on exhibition, before falling back against the pillow covering myself from head to toe, completely embarrassed. "Oh great just what we need, more vampires, " Larry says and I peak from beneath my layers. He walks away from the window heading towards the door. "I left lunch. Be quiet okay? The last thing we need is them sniffing around. And stay away from the shower, got it? "

He's been furious because I hesitated at the store. “If I hadn't pressed the panic button we'll be all dead” He says. I stop and face him while the others pass by us pretending not to hear us. “Look” I said pointing at him, “We're all equally sacred, Xiao was sweating, Mel hands were shaking, Eddy was-” “Hey!” Eddy shouts. We both turn to him, there's this angry look on his face.

I didn’t even have the time to even glance at Jacob who was standing beside me because of my frozen posture. “Now, Kylie. I’ll give you the honor to kill this remaining bastard,” Larry spat, opening his arms wide to give me the space to step forward. I have never ever witnessed such brutal killings and I don’t have the courage to watch them. What more the means do it? Looking straight into Larry’s eyes, all I could see was darkness. I wasn’t able to put it into the right words, but his eyes were like a passage to the darkest abyss I hadn’t seen with anyone else.

The big one is at the window, and if I can just….” He trails off, then he screams at the top of his lungs. A loud, gut-wrenching sound that is full of fear. Suddenly, the mind-link connection gets cut.

“Listen, we have to find my daughter and we are not living here unless we do.” “Speak for yourself,” the man earlier said, “I’m going home to my family,” and with that, he turned to leave but like a blur, he was no longer in front of them and all they could hear was his agonizing scream before it was quiet and the forest was still once more. “Fuck Larry, what the hell is going on?” A man asked and it was clear that they were all scared that they could shit their pants any moment now. Larry, now scared, said, “I have every reason to believe now that a blood sucker has set his eyes on us.”

Slowly, my brows wrinkle, and I cross my arms. “This is closing hours, Larry. Sally isn’t around,” I say to him, but he chuckles, walking up to me. The smell hits me hard—a rancid stench of smoke that seems to cling to his skin, and I involuntarily take a deep breath, trying to hold back my disgust. Larry is a creep in his early thirties who knows my mother, and ever since my dad died and we went broke, he has vowed that he would be the one to marry me. Cillian has beaten him up once or twice, but it never seems to deter him.
