AIDEN 2.3 - The Robot's Heartbeat

AIDEN 2.3 - The Robot's Heartbeat

3's room. We'll talk about it at the main laboratory. As we were getting closer to Aiden 2.3 whose humanoid robot body was hiding somewhere else in this room the more I feel the pins and needles inside my chest. I am nervous like hell and sweating like falls. "It's time to activate Aiden 2.3." and there my heart almost skipped a beat after hearing the purpose why we're here.

The Alpha's Broken Mate

The Alpha's Broken Mate

The damp air of London's underground tunnels clung to my skin, rank with the smell of sulfur and centuries of decay. I signaled the team to halt, my eyes adjusting to the darkness. "Scent markers ahead," Lucas whispered, his military training evident in his precise movements. "Two hundred meters." "Everyone clear on the objective?" I asked, adjusting the tactical pack containing Amelia's stolen files against my back. Sophia nodded, her dark eyes gleaming amber in the low light. "Get in, confirm virus distribution points, get out. No engagement unless necessary."

Blackcrusthatchet ch 15
Matthew replied, "Every information network in the facility can only be accessed by local channels here!" They finally reached a section of pods with a Label Y. They both looked up and saw the subject Y-23T2 still unconscious within. The same dark skin human-looking fiend who caused major chaos some days ago, laying on the other side of the barrier. Matthew dabbed on his watch. Several panels of information manifested in front of him, all with Yaksha's information on it. He also clicked on the button beside the pod until a woman's figure manifested in front of them. Her features and movement were too mechanical to be a human's.

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

Escaping Three Beastmen

Escaping Three Beastmen

When we finally reached the cemetery, Mother hurriedly ordered Victoria to be placed in the tomb. Just as Victoria was about to escape this predicament, I quickly spoke up in grief. "The burial oration hasn't been read yet." The accompanying officials nodded repeatedly. "The oration must be read so that the gods will know the crown princess' virtues." I looked at the long scroll and could not help but smile slightly. Victoria would never last that long. Just then, three familiar figures came rushing from the distance. Mother's blood ran cold as she instinctively looked up. With just one glance, she recognized the three beastmen.

Wrecked by my enemy

Wrecked by my enemy

He typed four characters into the terminal, his knuckles steady, his eyes fixed on the blinking line at the base of the frozen progress bar. CMD: OVERRIDE_LOG The green screen flickered once, the blue blocks of the progress bar vanishing into a single, clean line of white text that began to scroll from the bottom of the display: MASTER KEY VERIFIED: CATHERINE HAWTHORNE (1998) Sophia’s hand moved then—not toward the white drive on the desk, but toward the inner pocket of her trench coat, her fingers closing around something small and dark that didn't look like a phone or a storage device.

FORBIDDEN: Pregnant By My Boss’s Husband

FORBIDDEN: Pregnant By My Boss’s Husband

He paused. "...that a child should inherit love." "Not fear." Julian looked at his father. It was the first thing Victor had said that sounded more like Richard than himself. --- The chamber doors unlocked with a heavy metallic click. The computerized voice returned one final time. PRIMARY TRANSFER COMPLETE. SANCTUARY ACCESS ENABLED. DESTINATION AVAILABLE. A new map illuminated across the floor. It wasn't beneath Foundation House. It wasn't anywhere in the Genesis complex. The highlighted location was over two hundred miles away.

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

A line of text was scrolling across the black surface, glowing in a familiar, sickly green. "Calibration Complete. Subject 01 and 02 have reached Phase 3: Mutual Obsession. Deploying the Harvester." I looked at Jinyan, but he wasn't looking at the tablet. He was looking at the front door. The door didn't open. It didn't break. It simply turned into light. And standing in the center of our kitchen, bathed in a glow that was neither sapphire nor emerald, was a woman who looked exactly like my mother—but her skin was made of the same silver as Jinyan’s scars.

His Mask, My Sin

Anomaly classification revised. Human neural instability confirmed. Interest level reduced. I almost collapse with relief. But the scout sends one final message. Report transmitted. The connection abruptly vanishes. The chamber returns instantly. The silver floor beneath my feet. The Custodian ship around us. Ezra grabbing my shoulders. “Aidan.” I stagger slightly. Matteo rushes forward. “Did it work.” I take a breath. “I think so.” The Custodian speaks immediately. Transmission from the scout has ended. Severiel watches the projection carefully.

SEVER ZERO

TIME: DAY 1 OF EXILE, 21:00 HOURS. LOCATION: SECTOR 8 - DEEP SUMP PUMP STATION (HIDEOUT). STATUS: RECOVERY. The pump station was silent, save for the rhythmic dripping of condensation from the rusted ceiling and the shallow, wheezing breath of Arthur Valeri.
