Vampire: Supernatural Bad Boys VI

“How about that one. D3M04/A4G31. It looks like the codes I saw on the other files.” Rowan opens the file and gasps. We don’t even notice that our noses are almost touching the screen as we read through the file. D3M04 10RD- Captured date 03/16/1999 - Present Subject showing signs of aggression after being separated from the mate. Due to genetic abilities, the subject is a viable donor for the life endurance of interspecies permutation. D3M04’S mate, A4G31, although a viable donor, is expendable. However, D3M04 10RD has proven himself to be unmanageable because of his superior abilities. Therefore, an arrangement has been made with D3M04 10RD that as long as he remains cooperative, A4G31 sh

VELVET CONTROL

VELVET CONTROL

That wasn’t synthetic. Neither was mine. A soft tone interrupted the silence. New notification. Not from the apartment. From my tablet. I crossed the room slowly and picked it up. The screen displayed a single classified document. PROJECT ORPHEUS Behavioral Synchronization Trial – Phase III Primary Objective: Emotional Dependency Pairing for Executive Stabilization My blood went cold. Below it— Subject A: Reid, Shawn Subject B: Agreste, Catriona Status: Convergence Successful Shawn went utterly still behind me.

The Alpha’s Pretty Mistake

I opened the next document, another fragment, this one tagged Incident Report, RDM-47B. It contained only a few sentences: “During containment, subject displayed uncontrollable electromagnetic discharge. Room temperature dropped by 15 degrees within seconds. When conscious, subject described recurring visions of a burning field and a girl made of gold. Council observer recommends continued sedation until resonance levels stabilise.” I felt the blood drain from my face. The “burning field,” the “girl made of gold.” Rain. That was Rain. I exhaled slowly, steadying myself. The laptop hummed quietly, a low electronic heartbeat in the silence.

Field Team 42: Paranormal Responders

Field Team 42: Paranormal Responders

The other was a tall man with the permanent scowl of someone who'd once been a bureaucrat and now had to carry a gun. The woman introduced herself as Marta Sánchez, formerly Control Acquisition Division. The man, DeWitt, didn’t give a first name. Marta pulled a tarp off a metal cart. What lay beneath looked like a human brain, roughly basketball-sized, mounted on a mess of tentacles and chitinous limbs. It had no eyes, but ridges across its central mass pulsed faintly, as if registering light. "Meet the enemy," Marta said. "This is a dead one. We think. Don’t poke it."

Bound to the Moon: The Exorcist's Accidental Alpha

Bound to the Moon: The Exorcist's Accidental Alpha

It wasn't just pointing to the East; it was pointing to something else—a third signal, faint but distinct, coming from the ocean. "System," she asked, "how many subjects were there?" The AI paused, its binary eyes shifting color. "Project Chimera consisted of three prototypes. Alpha (Lycan), Beta (Vampire), and Gamma (Siren). Warning: Subject 003-Gamma was terminated due to uncontrollable psionic capabilities. Status: Unknown." Scarlett exchanged a look with Caleb. The world was suddenly much bigger, and much more dangerous. They weren't just fighting for survival anymore; they were unearthing a conspiracy that spanned the entire globe.

Matthew replied, "Every information network in the facility can only be accessed by local channels here!" They finally reached a section of pods with a Label Y. They both looked up and saw the subject Y-23T2 still unconscious within. The same dark skin human-looking fiend who caused major chaos some days ago, laying on the other side of the barrier. Matthew dabbed on his watch. Several panels of information manifested in front of him, all with Yaksha's information on it. He also clicked on the button beside the pod until a woman's figure manifested in front of them. Her features and movement were too mechanical to be a human's.

Still coming along nicely. The Archie plot has hot a good point. I feel there is more to come with Rain in the story and I like that. It is good to acknowledge the news spread of his accomplishments beating down Archie, but I would shorten the side conversations of the random people.

I'm honestly surprised that this story doesn't have more views and reviews. It's well-written, moves at a relaxing pace and the author did an amazing job with the descriptions. The characters has great depth, personalities that stand out. It is also clean and well-edited.

The Full Moon Murders

The Full Moon Murders

No orders — just motion. “Where did you find that tag?” Evelyn asked. Rhea sat beside her, the firelight flickering across her scarred cheek. “I didn’t,” she said. “You did. That’s why we came.” Evelyn frowned. “What are you talking about?” “You screamed. Three days ago, from somewhere near Hollowmere. Like your bones remembered something your mind doesn’t. That kind of scream carries.” She looked over at Evelyn, steady and unblinking. “We’ve been tracking the ones they called ‘control-class.’ You were E-113. S-019 was the one they couldn’t contain.”

“Trying to control something that doesn’t want to be controlled.” Adrian stared at him for a long moment. “That makes two of you.” That night, Evelyn couldn’t sleep. The mark pulsed too steadily, like a metronome counting toward something inevitable. She opened the folder again, tracing the name R. Draven with her finger. Below it, a half-faded note: Subject exhibited secondary resonance. Suggest containment before phase two. Her phone buzzed. Unknown Number: Containment failed before. It will again. Her fingers tightened. Who are you? she typed.
