"Time they're sorry for all of this." I sat at my desk, flipped on my laptop, and opened a new folder. I titled it Project Rise. And in that script, I began making a list of every vulnerability, every threat, every weapon I had at my disposal to strike back. Victoria's business partners. Cassandra's father's company. and with that, I followed him to the meeting room which was next to my soundproof office. The meeting room was also very spacious. I counted exactly twenty employees who sat around the huge, white and circular meeting table. I cleared my throat as I stood to make a brief introduction. "I am Slo--" My speech and breath paused halfway as my gaze landed on someone. Sitting amongst the employees on the round meeting table was the vampire. The mythical creature that haunted my thoughts and dreams. "Sloane?" My uncle Fred signalled me to continue but I was too frozen to do so.

Suddenly a pale blue light was seen from the furthest corner of the pool, just next to the washrooms. "No, not again," Sam cried. It seemed like he had seen a ghost. He was shaking. Sam and I seemed to be moving normally but those around us were all in slow motion. "What do you mean not again, Sam," I yelled at him. "This is what happened before they took me the other day. Everything stopped moving and something came out of a blue light. Please don't let them take me again, please." I had never seen Sam that frightened before. He often got angry but never frightened. I pulled him out of the pool and told him to run as I stared at the blue light to see what was to come out of it. Sam was well

She speaks all the while it happens and with one quick movement, I see her yank something violently. Priam shoots puke in a clean arc. The flames cease as if sucked in by a vacuum. Danis drops with a thud, blood dripping from his nose and ears. Scarlett moves just in time and runs into my arms, the fear in her eyes evident. The puke lands right outside the circle. Scarlett buries her face into my chest and I hear her breathe me in. Her hands hold onto me, wrapping themselves around my back and squishing her against me.
