Wade caught on, a glint of respect in his eyes. "You got it." With a snap of my fingers, I laid out my plan. "Two things need checking out. First, I need the untouched records from the night Gabriella went into labor, the real deal. "Second, I want a deep dive into Dante's finances, especially any sketchy money sent overseas. "And one more thing," I paused, slipping off the jade pendant I had always kept close. The memory of Dante's greedy eyes when he handed it to me was etched in my mind.

"Really?" Poppy nodded hard. "Yeah, I sold three fish!" Nicole smiled. "That's amazing." Poppy twisted her fingers together, then hopped excitedly. "Zeph said I did a good job, too." Nicole wiped off the rain, changed clothes, and put on a cartoon to keep Poppy busy. Then she noticed the scratches on Poppy's face. "What happened?" Poppy's smile faded a little. "I was eating candy, and someone ran over and grabbed it out of my mouth."

Scrapper is single but is slowly settling down with Zee and her three kids. Pops has three children with his wife Grandy – Patch, Deuce and Alana. (Deuce and Alana are twins) Patch has two sons with his wife Jaye, Molly and Dino. Deuce has two sons, Rocky and Gremlin. Alana has five children – Werewolf (born while she was still in high school) Bear (only biological child of Coon) Sticks, Mia and Chance. Rocky, Dino and Gremlin are married to triplet sisters, Violet, Rose and Heather respectively. They each have a few children but are not really seen in this anthology.

She managed to say but I brought out my makeshift knife and I tore her with it in the stomach. "Ahhhhhh." The cuts I gave her are not deep enough to make her bleed to death but the are certainly deep enough to give her an everlasting scar...
